My bad! I thought that thread was about dead! Well you deserved a new thread anyway!

With a better 60 foot time you would EASILY be a 10 second car!

I feel sorry for ANYONE who tries to roll on with you on the street!

Bus lengths will quickly tun into freight train lenghts!

NICE F-ING JOB MAN!

the hoosiers had to aid with the hard launch ...

i personally prefer to see what an srt can run on street tires for more of a daily & realistic number...

that mph is huge.

1.8 60 ft. is not a hard launch in my opinion. With a 1.6 or even a low 1.7 he would be in the 10's.

I Agree - I really like these fast numbers (and the videos)

The SRT6 is one fast 1/4 mile dragster when fitted with Hoosiers, Exhaust Cut-outs, NOS, Meth, Filters and Grill removed, etc..

But would also like to see the "&" removed...

Street Racing Technology - run like you do on the street....

NeedsWings is also in that low 1.80 60ft and he is running M/T slicks. I'm wondering if these tires are just too much rotating weight for the gearing?? I'm consistantly running mid-low 1.70's on street tires so these guys should be pulling better 60's than me i would think. That is the only thing i can think of. Too big a tire is eating up that 60ft. Or perhaps the size of the tire is larger??

I'm wondering with NW intake manifolds, cam shafts, full exhaust or cutouts, limited slip diff, and a port and polish, if maybe you couldn't get low 10's or maybe dare I say 9's?

Only if you are on the track though, seems some people are promoting street racing. Lots of people get hurt/jailed doing that.

That's Street AND Racing Technology. Completely different.

Not likely on stock motor and tranny. You would have to lay down some serious HP or launch the hell out it to pull low 10's. High 10's maybe, anything less is gonna take some motor/tranny work IMO.

I agree, the trans was straining on that run, but the engine numbers were all good, it could probably take a mid 10 pass before it came apart! This car does not have a gear ratio to allow too much better of a time imo. But I think the point he was making "may" have been, all the cry babies/nay sayers talking about don't do too much you make it unstreetable ie. above comments by a few, But I can say my car is completley streetable, and is as unrecognizable as theirs(with grill in,which does nothing out anyway)- besides the rear tires and they are dot legal! My gas mileage is the same and why mod for the street and go to the track and get waxed without a full effort to make your car the fastest it can be?and if they pull along side me they will get smoked!

AMEN
I know plenty of the faster cars roll around here on DOT slicks, and maybe MD-SRT6 does the same. Complaining about what mods the other person has done isn't gonna help you cross the finish line first. Run whatcha brung is the saying around my group of friends. They always rag me for not putting my ET streets on, but I personally like the twisties as well as straight line. They are hardcore drag racers and roll on big and skinnies all the time. Thanks again to MD-Srt6 for stepping up and pushing the car into uncharted territory.
