Welcome and good luck.

As for your question, everything you need to know is on this forum. Use the search feature located on the forum tool bar and spend a little time doing some research. Far too many threads repeat. I'm sure you'll find everything you seek, just spend a little time at the key board. If for some reason, you can't find the answer to a particular question, feel free to ask, there are plenty of knowledgable, helpful people on here who would be more than happy to assist. I doubt you could ask anything that hasn't already been asked though.

Cheers.

Some people have more problems than others. The headlight issue is known and can be fixed at a dealership under warranty, the IC pump is a known issue as well and can be repaired by just about anyone who knows what a wrench is with a far superior pump for not much cash, the seat heaters are a known problem too, but I don't use mine anyway, and as for the hatch rattle, that is the easiest fix of all. Wrap a few lengths of black electrical tape around the latch bar. It takes about 2 minutes and all of your hatch rattles will be solved. If you take it to a dealer, all they do is adjust the latch bump stops. Those will eventually loosen and have to be readjusted again, and again. The tape actually insulates the metal to metal contact of the latch and latch bar, there by eliminating any rattles. Honestly, 2 minutes, some electrical tape, and absolutely ZERO rattles from the latch.

actually cgocifer i have seen that thread and done that. but it isnt the latch bar its when the latch moves it shakes something on the inside of the latch and THAT is what is making a very silent yet noticeable sound in the car. that is why i have had my latch REPLACED so many times

My biggest problem is my right foot. It gets stiff from holding the pedal down too often...

I have the headlight issue and trunk rattle...I will take it in for the headlights and fix the trunk rattle myself.

Overall the car has a few niggles (just like any car) but overall is about the biggest bang for buck anyone can get.

Well, that is another problem. My apologies Sir! I'm willing to bet that it's the plastic handle itself. Try putting some felt behind the handle.

yeah that does seem super loose. but i dont see why it would go away each time they replace the latch(for a limited time of course) unless they do something with the latch. ive given up on it anyway. my music overpowers it

I have a HUGE traction problem in my SRT-6. I have 295/30 19 Conti sport contact 2's and an LSD in the rear and any time I floor it(up to 75mph) the rearend starts wagging its tail like a little puppy. It's a fun problem though.

All the common problems have been address already. You WILL experience the following problems pretty much quaranteed...

1. De-Laminated Headlights

2. Intercooler Pump Failure ( Get a Johnson Pump)

3. Heated Seats (Fix if you want, it will do it again soon)

4. Hatch Rattle (Multiple causes and solutions)

5. Noisey Injectors (Engine Tick) not really a problem. Mine has always done it and have never had an issue after 28,000 HARD miles.

6. Wind Noise at highway speed around Driver's Mirror. (TSB known to dealers) I don't have it, lucky me...

7. Traction (the Lack of any)

8. Rear Tire Wear caused by above Traction Issue

9. Perma Grin (on your face)

10. Crowd Control issues (especially at Gas Stations)

That's about it really. Aside from the Intercooler Pump, there are no known common problems with the powertrain. It's mechanically Bulletproof.

How can you tell if your IC pump is going/gone, and which model of Johnson pump is a good choice for replacement?

I'v had mine for over a year but it only has a little over 4k miles. I've had zero problems except when I left the key in the ignition and the battery ran done but that was my own dumb fault.

Welcome to our forum!

The most common known problem with Crossfires is speeding tickets and high fuel costs from keeping the hammer down all the time!

does the TSB hatch rattle apply to the trunk issue discussed here?
I have the headlight issue now as well.

Does the johnson pump void the warranty??

THANKS

Don't worry, you'll know . . .

I forget the model number, but I've found it on a search before without too much trouble.

Hatch rattle I don't have so can't help you there BUT, if your headlights are beginning to get cataracts & the car is still under warranty take it to the nearest Crossfire dealer (not all Chrysler dealers are Xfire dealers!) & tell him you need them replaced.
I would imagine (help me out here members!) that the pump would void the warranty. Frankly, IMO, I'd keep taking it back to the dealer & getting another Bosch installed until the warranty is history. No sense spending my bucks yet! Then, if (when) the pump decides to play dead again buy the Johnson (why does that sound so wrong?)
So far, no pump issues with mine yet.......26K & counting. I'm waiting for the day though.......
