SRT's Abroad (Overseas)
I was just browsing on the web today and found out that Chrysler is releasing new SRT6's in Australia.
I was under the impression that these Crossifre SRT-6's were no longer being manufactured.
So is the question of build number, and total SRT's built, just for here in the States. I was under the impression that was world wide???
Just curious-

Archive.org puts that page as being static for just about a year now, with the same text having been there July 17, 2007.

Interesting find. The picture of the car looks like a '05 (check the old SRT6 emblem on the decklid and no emblem on the side above the strakes). I know there have been a few from the UK with the new SRT logos based on previous posts.
I think it is much the same thing as the USA. They probably had some left over units for sale.
Maybe one of our members down under can fill us all in?

So basically they are not manufacturing new SRT's correct??
Just some leftover ones still not purchased? Made me nervous, I thought they were adding to the build number, I have a email out to Chrysler so we'll see how it goes-

The manufaction of new SRT-6 (with emblem above the stikes which done it only in the Year 2006) ended definetly at summer 2006 by Karmann / Germany. I owne one of the lastet one in machine gray.
The Production of the little Crossfire (218 hp) finished at December 2007 (i believe Dec.18, 2007).
I done a Karmann visitor tour at Juni 2007. The production manager told us that no more SRT-6 are built since summer 2006. I'm sure.

When I had a SSB 04 Coupe and the SSB SRT6 I called the couple the 'little' one. I traded it up for an Aero Blue SRT and have been modding it. Now I call the SSB SRT the 'little' one!
The Aero Blue is "The Arrow".

It was forbidden to make pictures in the car manufaction area. I'm sorry, no pics . . . . . . .

Thank you for the inside information from Karmann/Germany.
What are the last 5 Digits of the VIN on your Machine Gray 2006 SRT6 (Coupe?) ?
Also can you tell us what Month & Year it was manufactured?
Thank you!

I have not seen any new crossfires for sale in Chrysler dealers in Australia for some time. If there are any still new they are old models they have not sold. The average price for a 2004 is $37,000AUD which is around $35,500US.
I think the dealerships are a little slow to remove their advertising, maybe to show the "old" new car prices and try and keep the second hand prices high.
Here is a second had one, I am not sure whether to belive the 2007 model stamp any more though.

BTW: $67,888 is $65,323.71 USD

Looking at some Australia dealer websites they have the SRT listed as new. I've sent out a bunch of emails with no reply
