So 3,000 rpms going 90 mph? Is that safe?
I guess im used to less sporty cars... But 3000 rpms for 6 hours on a road trip seems engine abusive. Is it really safe? Is my transmission going to breakoff and tear me to pieces in the cabin?

You shouldn't sweat it either.
Now, going 90 MPH for six hours. I want to know where the h*ll did you can do that and not be sweating all the while?

Hahahah you guys made me laugh just now. Obviously I didnt mean 6 hours straight literally... Ill be pissing, and stuck behind slower cars, and getting gas, and probably slowing down to look at an attractive young 19-20 year old female in another car, just to remind myself Im 27 and they no longer know I exist.
But now we're getting into a whole different collection of problems.

They fawn all over the Xfire until you walk up and they realize your gray hair and big tummy go with the car!
Most are polite but they all leave, quickly.

On topic: Yor car will be fine.

dude, I'm 27 and have a 21 yo fience. We met three years ago and have had nothing but good times since. So go out there and get some young trim while you are still single
Age is nothing but a number. We aren't old, but damn approaching 30 is kinda scary.

90mph x 6HRS = 540miles / 15GAL fillup = 36MPG
I don't think a Prius would do much better at that speed.

In all honesty, I'll bet the Crossfire would actually love running at 90mph for an extended period. And for the record, I think my old Miata was pulling more like 4,000rpm at 90mph and it never skipped a beat.

Oh man, just wait. You'll suddenly realize you're missing hair, can't see worth a dam_, every frickin' thing aches once & awhile, etc.
Then you turn 40!
Not a problem. Driving through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas at night, I had the ***** to drive over 100 all night long and the only negative was dropping from 22mpg to 1?(I really don't want to say). And that was a 1978 AMX. I drove from Phoenix to Milwaukee straight without stopping (30 something hours) in my 1976 Mercedes at 80 to 85 and the car was begging for more. The faster I drove the happier it seemed to be. All you really need to fear is getting caught speeding in a state where they have no extradition agreement with your state. You may have to spend the night in jail and pay cash to be released. If your driving in your home state you already know what the penalty's are. They car will be fine.

bwahahahahahah! Yeah, you better pass a stress test before going 90 for more than 2 or 3 minutes. 4 to 6 hours and you should consult a doctor.
Just for inspiration, Iam 61 and still going hard, burning the candle at both ends and planning my time to accomplish more, LIFE IS SHORT is for real. '
I learned this when I was about 11 and have been pushing to have a good time ever since. Dont remember age, it has to keep up with me but I have been to the other side and have no fear of returning , if life gets too tough I will check out, and in a Waldig way, I have already bought my ticket. NO FEARS here, enjoy every day, thats why it is called the PRESENT.
3000 RPM, is a good starting point!!!!!!!!!!!!

3k RPM. Not a problem I could imagine you should be able to do 5K all day with these motors. The germans do build some strong motors. I could imagine my RX7 could easily do 7K all day long. Just need to go too Sebring and see what gives.
