Default Motorized rear spoiler on SRT roadster ?

Anyone ever replaced their SRT fixed rear wing with the non-SRT motorized rear spoiler ?

Considering how beautiful the SRT6 spoiler is and how well it complements the car.... I just dont see it being worth the effort?

I saw an SRT with an aftermarket spoiler...it was taller...and on a coupe...surprisingly looked pretty good...but I don't think I would want to even try to do the other...my local junk yard has yet to get in a XF or a Viper...which I am looking for, for parts...so, parts to do it could be a problem...

the SRT spoiler is the way it is because of how much faster it is. I can not find the thread but it is more functional then the little NA wing there was a long discussion about swaping. Although I do miss my old wing nothing better then giving the ole wave

If you wanted to build a sleeper, it could be done without to much work. As long as you could find a complete rear hatch assembly.

OOOoo, a bigger aftermarket wing for the srt6 would be awesome. I'd definately be down for that. This car is already rare to the point that people will believe anything they see on it, since they don't have anything to compare to.

He's saying someone with an Alabaster Coupe put an SRT wing on in exchange for the flappy one. AKA, the reverse of what Cal is wanting to do.

I think I read that right

Yes, a normal/base/limited Alabaster coupe had painted and transplanted a SRT wing on to it's rear hatch. Looked really sweet... too bad the SRT6 didn't come in Alabaster...

On the original thread topic. It could be done, but you'd probably have to aquire the entire rear hatch and then it would be a completely manual switch affair most likely as the speed controlled part is integrated into the body control module (BCM).

Good luck! and... Cheers!

Just interested in the adjustable rear soiler on the SRT. I think the SRT wing looks fine, but I also like the high-tech'ness of the speed adjusted spoiler. The published top speed between the two is only around 5 miles, so I doubt there's any issue running either spoiler.

It can be done without a complete hatch.

You would need the wing, motor, armatures, wiring harness, position sensors, dash switch, etc..

And it would be manual flapper, the SRT6 systems will not automatically lift or close the flapper.

I'm certain that someone with an adjustable wing would want to trade you rear hatches to get a SRT-6 wing. Put an add in the for sale section and find a car of the same color near you.

That's not quite right, because the XF V8 Startech Coupe own only a motorized wing ! Have a look at the gallerie here.

That being said the Startech Crossfire was just about the same speed wise in 0-60 and 0-100,, I though anyway. They didn't have any SRT styles to mess with considering the amount made. They just swapped it with a limited.
