I could not believe my eyes. Another SRT in the small town of Athens today. Anyone on the forum?

I wonder if he did sell it. Doesn't the plate follow the car when in Texas? It was different in Pa. where you transfered the plate to your new car. I know it was this car due to the mods on it. The original wheels and tires were back on it.

You are correct Steve, the old plate does follow the car. At least it's been that way with every used car I've ever bought in Texas.

 

I ran across the same thing a little over year ago. I live outside a small town named Odon, with a population of about 1,300 people. I was in town at the gas station in my SRT 6 and ran across a guy I know that knew I had the 04 xfire coupe, but didn't know I had the SRT 6 too. He had told me back when I first got my 04 xfire that he almost bought one too, but ended up getting a Mazda XR8 instead. Then proceded to tell me that he had just traded in his Mazda on a SRT 6 Roadster. The bad thing is I had just told my wife (who does not care for the Crossfire's) how rare the SRT 6's were and that she wouldn't see another one around where we live.

 

Ummm, we got new plates when we did the vehicle registeration on the red xfire (purchased from a lease return). The black one had never been titled. Maybe custom plates stay with the car if the buyer wants that option.
