Default drag times with pulley

ok , as I said i was going to do some testing of the pullies that are offered to us, i will have to use 1/8 mile because my 1/4 mile track is closed will reopen at the end of Oct. all with street tires
100% stock ------------- 60" 2.1-- 1/8 8.6---------------
grille mod only -------------- 60' 2.0 --1/8 8.5---------
------------------ changed tracks---------------------
grille mod only --------------- 60 ' 2.0==1/8 8.7---------
tune and grille mod------------60' 2.0----1/8 8.8---------
tune grille code 3 spacers------80' 2.0 -- 1/8 8.7
tune grille code 3 pully and spacers --60' 1.85-- 1/8 8.1
got in 8 runs three of them were 81,,8.1 ,, and 8.3 with 60' ---wrong1.85,,1.89and 1.90 didn't have these the print was so bad i still can't read them for sure
as you may remember the boost stock was 14 and with code3 16 lbs the tune is for the 181 pully ,, next is the dyno to see what is going on.

The 8.1 ET with 85 mph is also my best with the code-3 pulley, but it also included a LET tune (running a little rich (11's), and also drag radials! So my car isn't quite where it should be. I need to get a good dyno run to mail to LET and have her re-tuned. My best 60' so far was a 1.84 .

Can you post up your mph on all your runs? I am really anxious to see what your new mph was in the 1/8 mile. What is the altitude at that track and the temps that night?

hmmm,

My best 1/8 was 8.42 @ 87 with a 1.96 60 Foot. That was with just the NeedsWings Intake. I haven't been back to the track since adding the pulley, Johnson Pump, Spacers, getting it tuned and removing the resonator. The 12th should be interesting.

One question... What is a Grill Mod???

?!

If you can get it to hook up properly, your trap speed equates to a low 11-second pass in the quarter.

If your doing 93.4 in the 1/8, your car would be in the top 5 on dragtimes, post up the timeslip and congrats!!

are you sure it was not 83.4? 93.4 is really fast in the 1/8 mile if it truly is 93.4 that is a lot faster than the bigger pullies are trapping.

The 1/8th mile is just too short to get good comparisons. It doesn't allow enough time for a car to "do it's thing". Some cars don't start to come on strong until the second half of the track. Others get half way down the track then fall on their face. If we were comparing Jr. Dragsters, then it would be a different story.

Okay. Here are some of my slips with the Aero. Kumho Ecsta SPT on back and Conti on front. See my signature for mods. My best 60' time was not my best quarter time or best trap speed. Go figure. I am hoping to get out one more time with some new mods before we close up for the rain. It has rained here for the last three days. I hope it is clear at the end of the month when I should have everything back together.

Nice times Mike - Actually great 60' times on a few of those runs - - put some drag slicks on and your going to make some sweet time slips.

Did you buy your slicks yet? I'm now considering a pair...@ 13K miles and I've about trashed my factory PS2's so now I'm looking to purchase a new set.. I did make it to the track once and it just ate up my tires.....

With the closest drag strip 3-4 hrs away - I'll need to trailer my SRT6 "just in case" and my 95 Dakota 4X4 rear diff is trash (210K miles)....

My mom purchased a new truck last week and I'll know tomorrow if I can have her old F250 4X4 Diesel W/Banks turbo - If I give my sister my truck. That's a fair trade...The old family swap...

Thanks. The day I got those good 60' times they did a good track prep. I havent received the drag radials yet. I hope everything comes together for the end of the month. Console and gauges this week, manifolds back in two weeks?, drag radials in two weeks? Hopefully no rain around the end of the month.

I have a '91 F250 diesel with Banks turbo on it but no trailer. But I only have to drive about 15 miles to PIR so I could do that and not have to trailer it. Lucky to have two tracks close by. Woodburn has a lot of National drags and isnt packed so I gets as many runs as I want. But they are closed for the season. (the rain has started... ) PIR is open till Nov 1.

It's very hard to tell. I would say it is 83.xx and 81.xx mph that is displayed. If you were pulling 93.xx and 91.xx, your times should be well into the 7's in the 1/8.

Hey Brian,

Aren't you in the san diego area? If so there is Barona dragway. http://www.baronadrags.com/

The california tracks sure brought out alot of cars to the divisionals a few weeks back. There are some beautiful cars out there. December 6,7th has a great event called king of the track. Even if the bracket race doesn't appeal to you, it's the 3 qualifying passes that are worth the entry. Even with stock tires you probably won't spin. It's because the track is prepped for very, very fast cars. Also those cars leave lots of fresh rubber on the starting line for you to enjoy.
