If I could go back and mod my car all over again
If I could go back in time and mod my car all over again, this is what I woud do:
1) Code3 pulley 600.00
2) Needswings intake 450.00
3) Inmotion tune 500.00
1) The reason I chose the Code3 is because its cost effective comparitively speaking and still gives the same numbers at the track as any other pulley.
2) The Needswings intake is far and away the best performing intake out for our cars bar none. Stop trying to argue otherwise, its proven.
3) Between Inmotion and LET this simply comes down to price. Both of their new tunes are great, but Inmotion gets the nod because of price.
These three mods right here along with some good drag tires will give you a car that can compete with the best of them for less money.

Do it again. I'm telling you that sticker is weighing you down this season. Let it go.

PS: All these other mods ie. HE, plugs, plug wires, thermostats etc are all fluff and make no difference at the track. The only other mod that I would highly recommend other than the three I listed before is the Johson pump. While it won't add any power, it will keep you running consistent on the track and the street.
Remember I still have my stock exhaust, plugs, HE, wires. Oh wait I did change the screws on the little covers that screw into the valve covers. That might of gave me some big HP gains.

the heat exchangers should help you be more consistant if you hot lap but i am not sure if they are worth all the $. You can use that radiator manufacturing company that i posted up a few weeks back to custom make you one for much cheaper that is larger than the others too

Cooling the intake charge can definitely add horsepower, but I don't know how much better we can do with our stock intercooler core. I think the best we can do is try to keep the core from getting heat soaked in the hopes of maintaining power. Once the IAT's start to go up, timing starts to get pulled.
Also, I definitely agree on the ignition and exhaust mods. Aside from maybe the manifolds, the AMG exhaust is already very efficient and stands to gain very little from modification. Our ignition system is a dual plug set-up and other than plug gap, there isn't really much room to improve (in my opinion).
There are definitely other things that I believe will make an improvement in power, but your list is a great foundation and probably the best bang for the buck to be had. Any additional mods are going to start adding less gain per dollar.

Keep in mind you are talking about flat out runs. Real world driving in moderate traffic will benefit from the larger HE. Not saying it is worth the asking price but it will help keep more usable HP on tap. Other than that, I agree with your statement. I will say I like my Sprint Booster.

Just a heads up, the LET tune is $500.00 for a custom tune through us.
great post...was waiting on shoot out to see what works before ordering. not wanting to be the fastest out there. looking for a little more power on tap. just love driving fast!
you and many others were waiting on this. i was starting to see that the code 3 was the best bang for the buck. but it can produce better times than i thought

If I could go back and mod my car all over again...I woudn't change a thing. I installed the NW intake (Dec 07) 12.78, drag radials (Jan 08), ASP 178mm crank pulley (Jan 08) 12.52, InMotion Tune (Oct 08) 12.02, still to come Needwings custom manifolds (soon), Needswings ypipe not installed yet. Everything else is stock. 11's here I come.
Saved the rest for race gas, race entry fees, gas to go to races, ice for races, water for races, helmet for races, portable weather station for races, trailer to take car to races far away, tire gauge for races, portable air compressor for races, winning trophies and meeting lots of cool people at the races, priceless...
I'll take one of everything!
Have the Code 3 pulley just need a heat exchanger so I can play hard!
Hope that my neighbor will build me a dual CAI. Have to keep bugging him!
Then someday when I'm rich I'll get a tune! Maybe someone will cut a deal for Christmas time!????

Completely happy with the LET pulley, LET tune, and K&Ns for now.
I want a CAI but I also want to keep the factory look and IMO $450 for a powder coated tube is a bit much. Nothing personal against NW I know these are low volume and hand made. Track times are great and all but on the street is what I care about and the pully/tune make a big difference and add more enjoyment to driving.
(also my tune was the same price as your list - so price is not a factor on the tune)

Well we will see what happens when we get to NJ for the get together. I'm running a full LET car SL-55 intake, heat exchanger, johnson pump, 181 pulley and Jerry's tune. If my car is slower then a code3 or the 178 pulley set ups then that will verify your statement.
