Does your s/c clutch have 'play' in it?

Does your s/c clutch have 'play' in it?
Obviously we can all spin our clutches by hand when the car is off. But does your tap slightly because of some play in it in the perpendicular/shaft direction? Its way too small to see but you can hear it.
Is this normal?
