vredestein sessanta ultrac tires
I have just discovered these tires on a couple web sites. They appear to be a top rated European tire and have been highly praised on corvette, Nissan 350z and Ferrari sites. They can be had for about $170 for a 275/30/19 . Will that tire fit our rear OEM of 255/35/19 ?
They also have 255/35/19 or 265/30/19

Never heard of them. I will be looking for tires within the next six months. I may do some research on them. A few members have squeezed the 275's on the stock rims. Very tight.

I have the 275/35/19 tires, they are really quiet, paid only $285 shipped for the pair.
I hit a 1.85 60' at the track with them along with a bunch of 1.9's
They seem to be pretty good tires, the corvette guys like them a lot too.

I looked at them quite a bit when I was replacing my tires. They are a bit soft (280 I think) and will wear a little quicker than some. Great looks and popular.
I chose Falken FK 452's for the wet traction and softer sidewall to give a nicer ride. BMW and Audi folks seem to like them.

Here are some other brand 255/35/19 tirs as cheap as $137:

I checked on ebay but did not see any in that size, there were several sellers of that tire though. You could PM them to see if they can get the size you want.

I have had the 275/30 19's and 235/40 18's on my car for several months -- great grip, low noise, look pretty cool too. Also put them on the RS4 with similar results........
I have heard nothing but good things about this tire. There is a company in Atlanta called Bones Enterprises that sells them pretty cheap. Bones makes a bunch of wheel and tire packages for the LX guys (Charger, 300C, Magnums) and is starting to look at the Crossfire too~
275-30/19's will fit the rears fine, just slightly smaller cirumference than stock but within what's considered acceptable margins +/- 3%. I put Bridgestone RE960's in that size on mine. A little softer sidewall than the stock Conti's, just like the Vredesteins. The ride quality actually improved as a result, and the extra 8/10's width dids seem to improve traction a touch. Nice aggressive look too.
Just bought a set of four of these tires two months ago. I went stock size up front and 295/30 in the back. The rears were tough for the guys at the shop to get on and they ended up damaging my rim lips a bit. After that heartache though, I can say that I wouldn't have it any other way.
After shredding a set of 255 series ContiSport Contact 3's on the rear in less than a year, I am thrilled with the Vredesteins. I can barely spin them when I'm trying, and my car has a decent amount of power. The Conti's would spin when I was going through drive-throughs..... At least it seemed like they would spin with no effort.
I found these pretty cheap from a company out in California called Performance Plus Tire, site is performanceplustire.com. The guys were really cool, but with tires, shipping was a killer. Either way, don't believe the rumors about not being able to fit that big a tire on the stock rim, it just takes some elbow grease.

Performance plus tires is the only site I find with the correct size. I did find that they have the OEM size of 255/35/19 for $189. The 275/30/19 is $169.00 It looks like shipping on two tires is $60.00 to Iowa.
If anyone found these for less at another site please let me know.

I just called Performance Plus tires and spoke to Yolanda. They sell a lot of these tires and the price for the OEM size is the $189.00. She could not give me a recommended size for "up sizing". Can someone tell me what the next size up would be? Is the 275/30/19 wider and shorter than the OEM?
The 275/30R19 would be 1/2 inch shorter(25.5") than factory rear and 275/35R19 would be 1/2 inch bigger(26.5") than factory. Either should be fine. I would go with the 275/35 if available as it has more sidewall and might ride a little smoother. Good luck on what ever you choose.

I put F1's, 275/35/19s on the rear of mine, tight but fit fine...didn't get race last wknd, so I can't tell how they will do, corner well once you warm them up...but you definitely want to get them hot 1st....
EuroTire in New Jersey lists the OEM sizes, among others.

FWIW - About 4 years back I bought a set of mounted Vredestein Wintracs from Eurotire for my VW GTI. Their service and price were first rate, and I'm considering driving to Jersey when my SRT-6's PS2s give up the ghost.

I was just searching the thread for reviews of this tire.
THIS EBAY COMPANY (Click Me)
Has some tire/wheel packages with those tires on them.
The VREDESTEIN's that is.
What do think of those foose rims at the store??
