It's time to start MOD my SRT6 and I'm placing my order for my Magnflow catback system and sprint booster but I'm also looking for an Air Intake and LED's for my interior. I want to change all the light to green but I need to know the sizes and where the best place to get them. Any suggestion as far as price brand etc. for the intake and LED's. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

I'm a short ram intake kind of person and put mine together using the Spectre parts at Autozone. But the Needswings CAI has to be one of the best for our cars. They put a lot of time and effort into making a great product.

You would be crazy not to go with the needswings intake over short ram intakes. Literally slap it on and hold on to your pants, you can feel the difference right away.

 

1. I wasn't aware that magnaflow made a cat-back for the srt? Make sure it's not the 16633 meant for the N/A.

2. NeedsWings cai is the way to go.

 

The magnaflow system is not made for the SRT6 and the Needswings intake is the proven best intake for our cars.

 

I thought all the light in the srt6 interior IS green other than the dome light?

 

I think he is referencing the dome, glove box, and cargo area lights. I replaced them all with white LEDs, good cheap mod.

You would think Magnaflow would have changed their website by now and stated their catback does NOT fit SRT-6.

 

Can the SLK32 catback be made to fit the SRT6? If so, maybe looking into aftermarkets for the SLK instead.

 

Your right Magnaflow doesn't make one for the SRT-6. So what's a good exhaust or any suggestions..... By the way I'm keeping the tips on it..... LOL.

 

What exhaust is recommended by some of you experts?

 

The only SRT6 with an aftermarket exhaust that I know of is on NeedsWings car, and he built it himself.

You can probably go with a muffler from magnaflow/borla/flowmaster, I'm pretty sure nobody makes a cat-back system for the srt though. With only a few thousand srt's made, it's not economically viable for any of big exhaust companies to invest money and research / testing to come up with anything.

 

There are a few intake options out there, but spend the money on the NeedsWings Intake. By far the best bang for the buck mod you can do. It woke my car up more than the upgraded pulley, and the sound alone is worth the cost. NeedsWings is a tuning company that has been around and they know their stuff...

The general recipe for a fast fire is the NeedsWings Intake, NeedsWings Intake Manifolds, ASP 178 or Code 3 Pulley, InMotion Custom Tune, Johnson Intercooler pump. Properly tuned and setup, this will get you in the low 12's
