Default Difference in steering wheel stitching?

I've searched the forums but couldn't find the explanation for this.

I just test drove an SRT6 coupe and noticed the stitching in the inside diameter of the steering wheel is subtle gray. But I could have sworn I've seen some pics of SRT6's with multi-colored stitching.

Can someone explain the difference?

She could be the one:

My stitching is gray also. I have never seen multi-color on the
steering wheel. They cleaned it up pretty well. Even the inside of
the exhaust tip are clean. Mine are and have always been
blacked from exhaust, I assume. Great price, but depressing.

I didn't think any SRT's had "clean" or chromed exhaust pipe. I've only seen the inside painted unless purposely done.

SRT6 tips are painted black inside, n/a crossfires are left chrome. I have never seen this multicolored stitching either...except on a BMW M series.

Grey stitching on mine as well. And if the inside of my exhaust tips were painted black it is all gone now, because they are just blackened chrome. BTW, why are we talking about the exhaust tip color, I must have missed that part.

Exhaust tips - If you looked at the pics from URL above, inside exhaust tips are
chrome not black. I just thought that was strange. No big deal.

Thanks guys. Yes the car is very clean. Of all the X-fires I have seen at Carmax this is by far the cleanest. [Carmax in Davie, FL] also has a blue N/A X-fire inside that is in great shape. It's an '05 coupe with 30K miles for $15K.

They tried to push the MaxCare warranty for $2499 but I told them I'd pass. The likelihood that their mechanics are as or more knowledgeable than Chrysler for the SRT6 is highly doubtful.

I'd rather pay $1000 less and still have to take the chance that Chrysler mechanics will look at this car and say, "Oh yeah, I always wanted to work on one of those..."

Hopefully I get to pick it up next week. I dreamt of this car last night after the test drive. Perma-grin here I come!

That's a beautiful car -- I should know. I picked one up in January with 8400 miles for $21k and it cost me $2k in door and brake repairs. But I knew that going in. The previous owner also debadged the *** and I have been saving up for the replacement Crossfire letters. I like the original look.

Best of luck and enjoy the heck out of it!
