Default CAA#7 (Crossfires Across America #7) Yakima, Washington July 11-14, 2016

Hope you can join us in the pacific northwest July 2016 ?
PDF and Microsoft word file attached below

CAA #7 - NWCC (Northwest Crossfire Club) is excited to announce we will be hosting CAA #7 (Crossfires Across America #7) in July 2016.
Based in Yakima, Washington July 11-14th, we plan to have four days of various drives exploring different areas of Washington State…plus many other ideas to keep us all busy when we aren’t driving.
Also, we are considering, for those interested in NOT heading home immediately after CAA…of extending the fun into the weekend and heading over to the Washington or Oregon coast.
We are thinking those of you coming from so far may want to just drive a couple MORE hours and dip your toes in the Pacific Ocean! More information on all of that will come as we start to get a feel for how many might be attending, and as we finalize things up… in the meantime…your motel information is below.
Book your room now!
We hope you plan on coming!

BEST WESTERN PLUS AHTANUM INN
2408 RUDKIN ROAD
UNION GAP WA 98903

CHECK OUT: FRIDAY JULY 15, 2016

I got the attachment to work by saving it to my PC, then opening it with Word10.
( 2500 miles one way is a bit too far for me )

There is no way I can do 5000 miles on the road - but I am considering flying in and riding along in either a rental car (yuk) or in a right seat with someone.

I have added a PDF file format to post #1 for any who have trouble viewing the word doc.

Count me in .... if you don't mind a Jeep following you around (maybe I can catch a ride for a day or two).

Yakima, and surrounds, is stunning and worth the drive. Not sure if my Crossie will make it but , I'll try.

The I-90 climb up the mountains to Seattle Tacoma is one of the most enjoyable drives I have ever made.

Thinking of a trip to Yellowstone and the Montana region for years. Maybe we pull the Crossie behind the Dodge One ton with a camper shell.

WOW!

Count us in . . . Bob & Cindy Davis . . . Booked one of the king rooms checking in July 10th and checking out July 15th!

It's just too far for us to drive there and back (47 h - 3,253.1 miles EACH WAY) so we'll be flying in and renting a car. It certainly looks like a really wonderful part of our country and we've never been out there before. A once in a lifetime opportunity for us to meet and enjoy the company of some west coast Crossfire infected people AND get a guided tour of some spectacular country. We can't pass this one up!

Is Seattle, Washington the closest airport to fly into on a direct flight from Chicago ?

Yes. Then you can either rent a car, or take a puddle jumper to Yakima. Probably cheaper to rent a car.

Hi Gary, Very happy to hear that you're on track to join the group for CAA#7. Just FYI - I made our hotel reservation last night and they were already trying to tell me that no king rooms were remaining available. After some further discussion (I said you mean you've booked 9 king rooms for this group already?) and further checking they "found" a king room and took / confirmed my reservation. You might want to book your hotel reservation now . . .

I am considering this. It would be a reason for a 14 or so day road trip of 5000 miles plus side trips. I would add in at least Mt Rushmore on the way, and look for more sites. I have been wanting to drive northern USA and this might just be the perfect excuse.

My room is already booked by someone who will do a room share with me
