you better get a innovative lc1 widband or at least get on the dyno to get your a/f ratio so you can get a tune. it is most likely running lean and could cause engine damage.

Words of wisdom. Get a wideband so you can make sure you're running in the clear. You're getting into some higher HP mods and it would be a shame to see it go poof because she was being ran lean.

Please be careful. I believe that I gotten a fix, just left the garage with a grin, big **** type.

Black exhaust is nothing. Your running unleaded gas and there are not light grey tail pipes anymore.

I hit over 14:1 A/F above at anything over 18.1 PSIG with my Zeitronix.

The best thing you will feel is that it is hanging too long in the higher gears. I would suggest any pully guy get a data logger to see the A/F as you go.

More very soon, Woody

Can you convert all your data to their sea level equivalent? ;-)

Subscribed. Good luck!

This is not an accurate indicator, you should invest in a wide band.

On the flip side, our ecus seem to do really well with compensating for extremely high AFR...but that doesnt mean its safe by a LOOONG shot.

Good question sice I could have one of those rarely driven SRT's.
Car is a daily driver so I'd say at least 2500 miles.

Beats the heck outta me. Tail pipes continue to run black.

How about some advice on an A/F ratio meter or wideband thingy or whatever it is that one would need to determine A/F ratio. Keep it inexpensive please!

dyno, LM1 or any other wideband gague for that matter is cheaper than a $20,000 motor =P

www.zeitronix.com the zt-2 is what a few of us have. The dashdaq is plug in OBD port, but not cheaper than the zt-2 with boost gauge and wideband sensor. Plus the install and muffler shop install of the wb sensor.

Man tighed1, please invest in a A/F gauge! I ran stacked (178, C3) for one run down the track and immediately took the C3 pulley off after seeing 15-16 A/F at the top of every gear! The car needs more fuel, so when someone can address this issue, I'll go back. For now though, I would be very careful if I were you!

yeah i would not trust your tailpipe.

i wired up a Innovative LC1 wideband so I can screw it in my O2 bung, plug it into my cig lighter and then into my laptop. Takes about 5 minutes to do it. Most people buy a gauge and mount theirs permanently though. I did mine like that because I tend to change cars a lot and did not want to buy a new wideband every time I got a car (or go through the hassle of removing the perm install units) and I have a lot of friends that like to tune so I share it often. It was $199 shipped when I bought it a few years back.

The Innovative LC1 won a "shootout" between all the widebands and the Zietronix was ranked as one of the least accurate but from what I read in the report they did not vary much in accuracy to the point it would be an issue. Listed below is the newest shootout with their other widebands, they have several to choose from. You can always call them to see what is best for you.

or you could just jump on a dyno and do a few runs for around $60 and get your a/f ratio but you can not monitor your a/f ratio on the road like you can with your own wideband.
