I might just try and make this event - Now that I have a truck that can trailer my SRT. The down side is the two hard core days of driving to get there.

But it would be fun to find the top speed of an SRT6 - - in just one mile.

The best part is it's now a three day event. I have the best pit area for viewing, if you can swing it, let me know and I will save you a spot. You will need to book your hotel now.

I start to loose vacation time (I'm almost maxed) in April so a 10 day trip sounds like fun. - - Definitely save me a spot

Can you camp at the track - or - only at the campgrounds near by - Any recommendations?

Did you see your car (engine SRT6) in the super cars video on their website

Thanks..

I did and a quick shot of it taking off. You can camp but not in a tent. This is rural Texas and Coyotes are in the area at night. Do you have an RV or truck? Call me if you want to discuss it 800-677-0071 office or 832-724-4689 cell.

I'll probably stay at a hotel if they don't have a camp ground or facilities.

Thanks for the Info....

Hopefully a 182mph STI if he can get it together
TT Supra 165mph

I love the event, you are not bogged down with too many rules but enough to keep us safe. I have heard Maxton and Bonneville will keep people in the pits for days or limit them to certian speeds. The Texas Mile is flat out any car, roll cages at 190mph.

Thanks H.K. - pencil me in the list. I'll make my reservations this weekend. I'm really busy at work right now - but looking for a break (and the need for some speed).

Sounds like it's going to be a blast....

HK!

Lets put our cars up on jackstands and floor it to check if the speed limiter is gone.

You first, at your house...I will bring the video camera. I'm going to the Drivers Source Monday at 4 for 3 pulls on the dyno.

I'm registered - but I could only get a room at the Best Western.

So we'll trash your room.........Sounds like a weekend of fun.........

I'm planning on arriving March 26 for three full days. Then after the event, I'm traveling up to Crawford to visit friends (and one of my Ex Wifes) - ("all my Ex's live in Texas" - "that's why I hang my hat in California") and then to Texas Motor Speedway for more fun?? - then I heard there's a great 1/4 mile track that 240M3SRT6 likes to run - maybe we can hook up for T&T night before I catch Hwy 20 back to the 10 and back home....

Well, this sounded like it would be a great time and getting to meet you (Brian) plus maybe a few others until I done a map-quest. Trip distance: 2413.75 miles Time: 37 hrs 4 mins, round trip. I done a little calculating and I don't think an SRT 6 can reach it's top speed in 1 mile from a dead stop. By my estimate, at least with my car I think from a dead stop I'd be lucky to hit 180 mph in a mile.

Are you talking about the Texas Motorplex in Ennis, TX? Ennis is just south of Dallas not far from I-20.
