Default SRT-6 flamed on other forum

I got a kick out of the varied responses from my long-time Mazda forum about the trade I did going from a Mazdaspeed3 into a SRT-6.

Last I checked, your DashHawk doesn't support the SRT-6.

Check out www.Nitrod.com

It supports both of our levels SRT and N/A.

Some guys are OK with your upgrade, I think the others are jealous!

Good for you.

LMAO! There are some fantastically ignorant posts in that thread.

The Crossfire, in any form, is a car that doesn't get much respect from other auto enthusiasts. Thats great, because it means used copies are dirt cheap.

I don't care what forum you're on, if you sell the car associated with that forum and get into something else (especially something very different) you'll get a hugely varied set of responses. It's happened here too.

Well, in fairness...a lot of the members here trash Mazdaspeeds/SRT-4 Neons and Calibers/Cobalt SS's.

We drive (what was) an overpriced, AUTO sports car, with some of the most controversial styling to come along in a long time.

Just get used to it, and get some good runs down at the track. If you grab some 111-113mph traps and mid to low 12 second runs, it usually gains instant respect.

Usually....

At least it brough awareness to members of that forum.
Wonder how many are considering to trade now?

Actually I was surprised at how many "positive" remarks were given.
I did find it interesting by how many really loved the fact that their "sports car" had a back seat. Funny, practicality isn't what I buy a "Sports Car" for.

I read the thread. It wasn't NEARLY as bad as you were making it out to be.

They ripped on the price, auto trans and looks. Tell them to get in line. haha

Yeah I soon realized after I posted that, that it didn't work and have since sold it. This Nitrod product looks great- it's even silver to match the interior!

Are there any members here that are using it and have tested it's accuracy. The great thing about the Dashhawk was there were a ton of people using it and offering feedback to MSD to continue to make adjustments to make it even more accurate.

Amen. Thus the reason I picked up a 2nd one.

ditto, I posted that on the 5th and have since done a great deal more research. I overshot a bit on that- maybe the "crank" numbers on TVT's site were still in my head.

Regardless it has tremendously more performance potential than the Mazda.

The more I go back and re-read what I read the more I realize I posted inaccuracies. Not an attempted lie but out of my excitement I posted numbers from memory- bad idea. Hey at least I was only off on your run time by a tenth- I was inadvertently more generous with your trap.

Hahaha- yeah I meant to post about that here. That was hilarious! Chris your car is dangerously fast!

Haha! It's all good. Don't worry, your car will be that fast soon! Although, when you took me out for a spin, I thought your car pulled really well. It definately does sound different than mine ever did. Almost like I could hear your exhaust more or something? It's funny riding in the passenger seat of the same car. That was fun!

I'd disagree with that.

I think you can get to the low 12's faster and more reliably with an SRT-6, but we aren't getting much lower than that without spray.

I seriously doubt there will be a readily available supercharger upgrade for this car anytime soon.

The Mazda's turbo upgrades and engine reinforcements will continue to grow until those cars get into the high 10's. It's only a matter of time.

I have to admit....they seem pretty reasonable for the most part. Some like it, some don't. Everything in life is like that.

Just try telling the Mustang guys you have a Crossfire, see how well that one goes over!
