Default alternator pulley
What do I use to hold the alternator pulley while I remove the attaching bolt?

You best bet would be a strap wrench.

agreed. Lowes has a $15 package with 2 kobalt strap wrenches, one small and one big. I use them all of time, never thought I would but I'm glad I bought them.
