I have been visiting this forum for several months trying to educate my self on all that is Crossfire.

After months of searching for the perfect car and price, my wife and I gave our-self's a Valentines day

present this weekend by picking up an 05 SRT-6 Graphite Metallic coupe with Nav. and 23k miles.

The car appears to have been pampered and has new Michelin Pilots.

I was able to talk the dealer down to $15,900.

We live in Anniston,AL and drove up to Gatlinburg for the weekend to relax and look at the car.

We picked it up this AM and after a 250 mile trip home I am in love with it.

Just wanted to introduce my self and get your opinions on the car and price.

Thoughts, Good Buy?

Great price, looks like you did your homework on the forum. As you have already discovered on your trip the performance is truly unmatched for the price you paid. Welcome and good luck with your new car. Are you ready for some mods yet? Needswings CAI and a sprint booster would be a good start.

I want to do some mods. but it is going to be a daily driven car so I don't want to do anything to negatively affect reliability.

I was thinking Sprint Booster, CAI, Code3 pulley, ECU Tune in that order.

Does this sound like a good gameplan?

What type of 1/4 mile times should I expect with these upgrades?

This is a good plan without going hog wild. Depending on available traction, you should be in the very low 12's.

Nice choice!!!! You have good taste. Your modification plan is very similar to mine. (The only difference: I waited on the ECU tune until after the intake manifolds.)

+1 on going to the Dragon. I have to drive 800+ miles to get there, and I don't plan on missing another!

Phenomenal deal man! I picked up my 05 SRT-6 with 12k miles for 19 and some change, though it wasn't as pampered as yours (scratches and dings galore).

Identical car picked up in January 2007 with 8400 miles for $21k, but needing $1500 of body work to driver's door. I think I overpaid a little but it was the color I wanted and low mileage. On the other hand, it was over a year ago in a slightly better economy. Enjoy it. PS-I'm keeping mine stock. It's fast enough and why take risks and spend lots of $$$ for another second in the 1/4-mile.

Congrats & Welcome! I'm sure you already know from your drive home that you got a great deal. Sixteen grand for a car that stickered new around $45k! You can't go wrong. Even if it hadn't been such an expensive car to begin with, just driving it makes it worth twice that price. Considering the prices on these babies, I just may replace my daily driver with a slightly used SRT-6. Then I'd have one to drive every day and one to race.
