Ok i found a SRT-6 Near by 05 Black with 44,XXX miles for 17,500 i contacted the dealer to see if he would take my 05 base with 22,xxx miles in on trade plus alittle cash *i.e. 1,000 or less* If he rolls with it what should i look for other then maintance records? A friend of mine that worked at a chrysler dearlship said to check the supercharger pully and make sure there is no play.. So other then that and do you think the dealer will go with my deal ?

Not to rain on anyone's parade but...ain't gonna happen. I wish I could wish you good luck but I believe it's a shot in the dark. My friend bought his "Limited" Crossfire Coupe w/ 38,000 miles for 12k at RETAIL. I'd be surprised if you get more than 10k for the trade.

Since the dealers have gone to the black book listing wholesale bottom line sale values as trade values there is no gains for taking great care of your car. It doesn't seam to matter one bit how nice it is, it is worth what the guy stold one for at the Atlanta auction yesterday. AND, they say don't take it personaly. The only way it could get more personal is if it was your wife, girlfriend or daughter. Sorry for the vent. Can you tell I just traded a car? I wish you the best of luck on your trade.
Dealers are about minimizing output and maximizing input. Translated means they will give you a minimum amount for your car and charge you max for theirs. I would realistically determine what you want for yours and what you are willing to pay for the SRT. For me it's a no brainer. Take the SRT!

My only thought is Why would a dealer that has the only Crossfire (the SRT) that anyone wants anymore want to trade for a non-SRT especially a BASE???
They were nearly throwing in a bowl of soup last year with the purchase af a Base and at less than 1/2 price...
If you have a dealer that dumb lined up please send his address my way...
