Talking Its not spring yet, I'm ahead of my sched...

Got the hood on yesterday and some photos today. It does work, makes no odd sounds like a whistle or what ever. Iam content with the project and feel that it meets my design goals.

The shots are under clouds. yeah there are a few and its still cold so that I can not punch it without going sideways, but other than that, Happy Happy. I got a few angles in the shop and outside which shows that from the front you dont see the scoops and from inside you never see anypart of them.

When parking after driving there is a goodly amount of heat rising from the scoops and Ill be getting back with some data showing the ambient temperature and scoop air flow about 1" off the hood to see the heat signature streaming off the radiator while driven on the street.

For thoes that have never done anything like this before, ie pulling hoods, doors or decks off here is a hint. I drill a small hole thru the hinge FIRST BEFORE I PULL THEM OFF. This simple step allows you to get it back to alignment with out scratching paint from slips or spending all day trying to get it back to where it was. When you are doing the reassembly, simply slip the small drill shank back into the hole to align the hinge and body member, then say TAAAAA DAAAAA. Works for me, another great idea that I have not forgotten YET.

Iam doing some neet stuff and the hood trim is not done till a while from now, itl happen. Hope yall like it and maybe I can get the Ca guy to really make these up, to be seen.

Anyway it is low glare, and has no Virginia offending scoops to block the vision (thanks for the inspiration Va DOT, Mr. O Osbourn, and diet cola, oh well all the guyz/gal at Xm 41 too).

Water seems to go thru ok, to drive in the RAIN for a check out. Most of all it should allow MUCH faster cool downs and less heat stress under the hood generally.

Having fun and playing with my self 'so to speak', enjoy the weekend - Garage Woody

There are two albums of hood photos so look them over and let me know what you think. Now I can focus on my ultra light weight battery concept, if the parts ever clear customs, W.

Its looking good but the finish up close is hard to see. For example, is there any material connecting the sides of the vents and the surface of the hood?

It looks real nice Woody, functional and very subtle. Now there's a hood mod for all those Crossfire "purists".
I think I'd paint the hood the same color as the car though. Makes it look more "factory".
I'll be looking forward to parking next to ya at the Dragon. (what a photo opp.).

Woody I look forward to seeing the hood. Was that your stock hood or did you buy a spare hood that you modded?

Great work Woody. I agree with Mike. I think painting it the color of the car would look best.

Thats a joke and you get the 1st banana award for seeing it. Rob has sent me the magnets and I had to FUN him by doing a cut and slip on the letters to see if he saw it. He had to get up and check the stack he had to see that it was just a spook.

I got them in the mail with the Zeitronic display panel which sadly in a way I have to leave alone for now.

Iam NOW real busy as the FedEX guy just got here and delivered my package form my embassy bud, cost $37.80 american for 3 Kilo box From Klaipeda with my batteries. Should have been here a while ago but they were stalled in customs and now I have to hussle to get themadapted to the car and installed.

Weekend, time for parties with the buds. Enjoy Woody

Klaipeda, hmm...had to google search that one. Your not trying to run the crossfire on a 9v battery are you?

This is the view of the bumper as I got it prepped and shot to complete the front end work with the hood. With the coating finished, I just have to complete assembly before getting back to 'under the hood' designs and ideas.

There is a couple of power adders to be installed and checked out this spring. Even got to work on removing a bunch of front end weight, stay tuned boys and girls until next week. Be well, Woody
