Tires - whats your choice?
Re: Tires - whats your choice?
I have had Nitto Invo's and now have Sumitomo HTR-ZIII's.
The Nitto is a better tire, but wears a bit quickly.
Tire Rack review of the Sumitomo made it sound too good to be true, and it was. They are an OK tire, but they certainly don't out perform tires of twice the price like the review claimed.

If I must say, I am loving my vredstein sessanta ultrac's! The ride is so much softer and much more quiet. Although I was a little skeptical at first of the dry traction, I pulled a 1.79 60ft (with some spin) in horrible track conditions last night! I am hooked! So my votes would be other. I would go with the Vredsteins or Toyo's.

I haven't any experience other than with the Continentals, but after reading reviews and talking to other owners my first choice would be the Nitto Invo second would be the Falkens.
Unlike other performance tires I believe the Nitto's are non directional allowing you to rotate from one side to another. I'm hoping with the softer tread compound and the flex in the sidewall it will improve the ride and keep the noise to min. The trade off of course being longevity?

The BFGoodrich g-force T/A KDW 2's and Falken Azenis RT-615's aren't too shabby either.
Haven't heard much about the Cooper Zeon 2XS but they do come in the 18's & 19's for our car. The 18's go for only $122 apiece and the 19's for $185 apiece at:

As for the TA KDW 2 can not get over the truck tire tread.
Falken 452s are rated a Lux Sport tire and have a softer side wall. Not a bad tire just not going to be "sticky" enough. HOWEVER this tire looks like the Hankook just a lower speed rating and a a bit harder rubber.
Graet inf so far- nice seeing the replies!

I've used either the Dunlop A/S or the Eagle F1 A/S & both have performed well despite road noise from both after some wear.
I'm sticking with the A/S's year round. Too much crap weather throughout much of the year & I'm not interested in spending mucho dollars switching between pure 'summer' tires & all-seasons'.
