Default Chalk up a few more nice wins for the SRT6!

i have many um, 'well-to-do' friends, and we all are insane car fanatics. this gives me MANY opportunities to do stupid things in my SRT6! anyways here's the fun we had on our road trip to country club plaza in missouri: (highway runs)

2006 BMW M5 vs. my SRT6= 'i win!' (not by much though)

2007 corvette(not Z06) vs my SRT6= 'i win!'

2002 Firebird Formula(auto trans) vs. my SRT6= 'i win!'

2005 porsche carrera S vs. my SRT6= 'i win!'

2007 SL55amg vs. my SRT6 = i BARELY won! (only car that was lightly modded, rest are stock)

2009 Audi S5 vs. my SRT6 = i win!!!!

Nice kill list, j-fire!

BTW - since your sig has Code3 spacers, I assume you have the Code3 pulley.

my buddy with the M5 swore he would beat me. his face looked something like this: LOL second run:

i've noticed on highway runs, the SRT pulls harder and harder up top. i think the NW CAI has a great ram effect at high speeds(100+)

You must have one exceptional SRT! Some cars you listed are posting around 120 mph 1/4 traps... Not sure how you are beating them out on the open road, but I sure am glad you are representing us proudly!

well, my buddy's M5 clocked a 113mph trap, and the SL55 a 110mph trap. the porsche carrera S a 106mph trap. i don't know what the formula traps, but a google search reveals a 106 trap.

you guys might want to do some more research. none of these cars trap 120!!!!

i don't think you've ever seen these at the track.... if you have, they must be highly modded. none of these cars were modded much. just the SL.

well, only the M5 and the SL55 'MIGHT' have pulled on me.... i suppose i should mention the M5 had a passenger, large wheels and audio upgrades, same story on the SL55.

a win is still a win....

and yes, i have an awesome SRT6.

'Ricer flybye...' hahaha! i sure hope not! LOL

You're right...My bad...I see a base C6 Vette with the 6.0 traps around 115 and those SL55's are really heavy.... I'm always at the track and see these cars running and of course they must be modded to be trapping faster for sure.

They are all great kills. I want some detail into some of those races like the M5. Was it from a roll? what kind of distance are we talking? I really rate the potential our cars have, i pinch myself every day how lucky i am to have come across this car and own it. I really need to get a pulley to start being able to pull of some of these kills

no you don't need a pulley. i don't have a pulley. my mods are in my sig. the runs with the M5 were all highway runs, from 50+, 60+ and 80+

it's really weird, almost every time the M5 gets this HUGE leap on me at WOT, but i slowly pull about half a car length after that. we never broke the 150 mark, so i suspect maybe he'd get me up that high.....
....then again, a bigger car gets more wind-resistance at high speeds, which may have been my friend. my car is so low to the ground now with the H&R kit, i'm quite sure i've reduced some drag-coefficient!

also, use your manual-mode on your shifter, you get higher revs out of each gear. drop her down into the lowest possible gear and she screams as you wait to drop the hammer

I thought this car had insane power??

Does your SRT put more power down, or is it a weight thing?

Or was the driver really fat?? lol

ha! funny you should mention that, my buddy who drives the SL55 is quite, uh, 'portly.' sacrifices much of his exercise life to own some nice cars! his SL55 also has bigger wheels and k&n air filters. weight and drag coefficient definitely at play here. also, i weigh a very meager 135lbs! my hatch is gutted, with resonator delete(resonator weighed 25lbs) and cat delete which reduced a few more pounds, i also have a 17lbs racing battery, and my new suspension components are lighter as well (springs and shocks.)
the SL has tons of sound-dampening material, AMG cars test very high in decibel tests for motor trend. the SL55 weighs as much as a small SUV.
