Just another cracked pump picture thread
I'm sure there are alot on here. Replaced the pump on our Crossfire. Had 17k when we got it and it was obvious the pump was gone. These pumps are rated by hours, not miles so i would assume the car was driven in heavy stop and go traffic before us (more hours run per mile driven). Also excessive engine startup/shutdowns would contribute as i believe the pump runs for a bit when the car is turned off.
Anyway on to the carnage...

15 minutes, floor jack, torx bit, soldering gun, lighter, snips, 8mm & 10mm socket, and one or 2 beers, it may be a 3 beer job if it's a sunday morning.
dead giveaway the pump took a **** is the car disengaging and reengaging the supercharger. you can feel it just cruising. car stumbles for a split second and the rpm's bounce a bit
If your pump is still working and you choose to replace it, SAVE it. It is the same pump that you use to heat the cabin of the car. Mounted under passenger head light. Ta DAAA

So who's going to be the first to put a CM-30 in there heater core loop?

Mine worked fine (12k miles) but I decided to preemptively replace it. Less hastle later on.
Oh and Woody- I DID hang on to it- just in case. Very cool info about it being the same as the heater pump. I hang on to all my old parts (stock intake, stock brake pads, etc).

I guess I need to do mine. I have that stumble when I am cruising, usually around 60-70mph. Feels like more of a surge than a hiccup, but still out of place. Thanks for the thread, I guess I will give it a shot since I have the stumble and 30K miles. :P

Woody, does the Limited Version use that pump for cabin heat? or just the SRT? James
