2009 Spring SRT-6 "Battle of the supercharger pulleys" Challenge

Photos from last years event are here: SRT-6 Shootout 2008 Photos (Battle of the pulleys)

I am planning another annual "Battle of the supercharger pulleys" meet at MIR (Maryland International Raceway) on May 3. For those not familiar with the track, it is considered the fastest track in the country! I will update this 1st post with those that plan to attend along with a "Meet the Challenger" photo and description.

If you want to be added to this list please PM me with a photo and mod list.

Track/Location/General info: http://www.mirdrag.com/

CHALLENGERS

1: MRPHOTOMAN
2: TOM2112
3: RL-2005
4: BLUEMDSRT6

5: NEVERENOUGH
6: WALDIG

7: MD SRT6

Entry Fees: $30.00 Test & Tune
Gates Open: 10:00 am
Time Runs: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

All day test session from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. All MIR Test & Tunes have a free $1,000 to win Gambler’s race. The Gambler’s race will be pro-rated if less than 64 cars.
We will be calling cars to the lanes by E.T. breaks with one run per session. This will prevent you from having to stand in the staging lanes all day to get your runs. Anyone who runs first round of the Gamblers race will not be permitted to make any additional time runs. This allows those who did not run the $1,000 to win gamblers race an opportunity to get a couple more runs in before the end of the day.

Forecasts aren't accurate one week in advance- yet alone several....at least lets hope.

I can't do it that weekend. I'm going to be at Virginia Tech that weekend for a friends graduation festivities...

Sorry guys... I'll be sure to let you know what I run the next time I get up there.

Hope to see everyone down there. Oh and how many runs do you think were going to get in or how many did you guys get last year???

I'm still coming as planned. Last year we made the mistake of scheduling our meet on a day they had some event so we only got about 6 passes. This time around its only a test and tune so you'll probly be able to do double that or more (it all depends if you hot lap or how long you stay cooling down between runs).

LOL, I had to! I can't focus on everything I have to do in the staging lane. My first pass I went down the track with the AC and TC on. The less I have to remember to do the better prepared I'll be once the light turns green. I'll be wearing my helmet when I go for refreshments and food this time too. Just make sure you hit the ball and not the T man.

Ahhhh, LMFAO!! Thank you for the visual! It would be priceless if I had a picture of you last year with the helmet on!! :P

BTW - don't actually wait for the green light. When you see the last yellow, you're gone!!

Dam that sucks looks like people are dropping like flies. That pretty much counts me out. The only reason I wanted to make the trek to MIR was to meet everybody that was going and share some ideas, I pretty much know I'm not going to run good times. I don't have any experience whatsoever at the track so I'd probably run my low 12's car close to the 13's hah. Looks like the tuning was the key factor in keeping people around.

lol i would hardly call 3 out of 9 people dropping like flies. Only 2 of those were interested in a tune.
