Eibach Pro VS SRT springs
Eibach Pro VS SRT springs
I hear alot of people on hear say they are happy with the Eibach springs.
In the past I have not considered them because of the progressive rate, wasnt interested in compromising handling for ride quality however im finding the stock SRT suspension to be a bit stiff for my liking in this car. (my 97 ACR neon is much more stiff but this is a different car)
So my question is do the eibach springs make the ride more tolerable because of the progressive rate? I wouldnt mind doing so while lowering the vehicle.

I just ordered the 1 pads for the front and rear.

very strange. but if you tighten the rears on the koni's too much, the car will feel like it's going to rebound into the air on big bumps!

Im gonna try out the pads first, ultimately I want to lower the car. So we will start there.
I havent been able to find stock SRT spring rates but this is what I have dug up in my research.
NA x fire front 285 lbs
NA X fire rear 354 lbs
Eibach front 371 lbs
Eibach rear 285-371
No info on the H&R and B&Gs. Do you know what your H&R rates are?

Re: Eibach Pro VS SRT springs
I have the Eibachs and love them! Well, I also have Koni adjustable shocks. All I know is that the combination rides much, much, much better than stock!! I have them turned a quarter past full soft for cruising and then crank up the stiffness for the curves. Just awesome! The best money I've spent on a car mod!
Re: Eibach Pro VS SRT springs
Here is some info I found on spring rates.
The SRT-6 shares an awful lot in common with the outgoing SLK32 AMG, other than just the engine and gearbox. The dual control arm front and multilink rear suspension are virtually identical, although they are tuned in this application, with firmer damping and much stiffer spring rates. (They have gone up from 303 pounds per inch front and 337 pounds per inch rear to 451 lb/in and 480 lb/in respectively on the coupe.) The brakes, too, have come in for attention, with vented discs all around (the stock car has solid rear rotors), bigger front discs, and dual piston calipers in place of single-piston items. Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 Preview & Specifications - Automobile Magazine
OR:
The SRT-6 package includes stiffer spring rates (50% in the front, 42% in the rear, with higher jounce and rebound rates) and larger brake rotors, with vented rear discs. Oddly, there is no manual transmission available - a reversal from, say, the Spirit R/T, where the high-po version only came with a stick. - From www.allpar.com: Chrysler Crossfire and SRT-6 general information and car review
Cheers,

Ive ordered the 01s and will compare when I get around to installing them.
