Angry Dust Free Brake Pads

What's the general consensus for the best dust free brake pads? Tired of cleaning these wheels in 95F.

I think we all have our favorites. But I think most of us here had installed the Rotex Gold. No more cleaning brake dust.

See signature. Some dust, but not as much as OEM.

yeah any ceramic brake pad will give off a lot less brake dust then oem. I use akebono myself and i only see brake dust after about a month of driving.

Most of the mb people use akebono with pretty good reviews. You can get them on tirerack for pretty cheap.

Don't be fooled! Rotex still make dust just a lot less. They are noisy as h*ll too. I'm not 100% satisfied with my choice.

I'm very happy with them.

i got the street performance with the 5 star quiet on the akebonos. they make noise during the mornings for the first 20yards. Then when they heat up, there as quiet as oem. For me they did brake slightly better then oem, but not a lot but enough to notice when you first drive it.

Ditto on the Rotex.
Minimal dust, no noise & reasonably priced.

In a previous thread, I was convinced that posi-quiet ceramic pads gave an attractive ROI. That is my next planned upgrade, actually. Full set F+R for the price of a set of Front Rotex Gold, I believe...
You get what you pay for, I guess...

I presume my expectations were too high. They definitely produce much less dust but they are far from "dust-less".

I've heard from several others that the installers should have used some sort of anti-squeal product on the surface before installing. My Rotex are pretty noisy, especially when coming to a slow stop. I sound like an old school bus.

There is no such thing as dustless.
If it is not the pads it will be the rotor getting chewed up.
Ceramics usually have less dust - plus the dust is ,ore of a tan color- however stopping distance is usually increased.

I use the Posi Quiets in semi metallic and have a great blend of low dust, great stopping power, low rotor wear, and low noise.

Has anyone here ever swapped out their brake pads at least twice - with different aftermarket brands? Some comparative info would be great.

I've got the Posi-Quiets on my car and love 'em. Dust is almost totally gone, they haven't squeeked once, and stopping power on track was outstanding. Ask the guy in the 911 who almost ran into me because I outbraked him! $99 for all four corners. Not too shabby.

I put Akebonos on my old N/A and then EBC Red Stuff on my SRT 6 - Akebonos probable less dust than EBCs but both were substantially less than OEM. I probably like Akebono's best - but couldn't get in SRT 6 size last time I bought. I like the EBC for stopping ability and I have no noise issues - very good brakes. Hope this helps (doubtful).

I have the DiskItalia Titanium Kevlar also and they have very minimal dust and are quiet. Stopping is very good.
