Question I have a few questions: Waldig

I wanted to solve a few problems that have been bugging me, my alignment is wearing out the slicks on the inside edge.

My camber is about 2.5 degrees and that is with factory springs. Iam going to make some adapters to reduce, adjust the angle so I have more control and less wear.

I will be doing the rear first cause I have a simple fix I THINK, for that.

1. What are the factory specs for the camber both front and rear and also the FRONT CASTER angle ???

2. Are there others that wish to reduce the angle?, I know Brian Black has already said he was.

Thanks Woody

I'm wearing my tires on the outside. They are shot. The fronts are to the cord on the outside edge. I guess I'm overdriving the car. I have very little camber in the rear and between -1.6 and -1.9 in the front. I'm on the trail of a good pyrometer.

I need to know the measurments of the rear camber for your cars so that I can make a "kit " that will address the bulk of the population. I am thinking of not more than 1 degree negative on the rear.

Adjustable may happen but first I gotta get a prototype going.

My wheels are about 3/8" IN at the top when measured with a vertical level.. You can search on my posting looking at camber measurment. Woody

Woody,

Here are the factory range specs for Camber:

Rear:-1.6 to -0.6
Front:-1.5 to -0.9

Here are the precise measurements:

ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS
Front Axle Toe 2.5°
Rear Axle Toe 1.2°
Front Camber -1° 13’ (-1.22°)
Front Caster 5° 12’ (5.20°)
Rear Camber -1° 08’ (-1.13°)
Permissible difference in front axle camber between
right and left side of vehicle
20’

The answer to your second question I would imagine would be a "yes" from all the posts I have seen on this subject in the past.
