Default Chipping Switching

In reviewing a lot on these threads on chipping upgrades, it looked like the guys at InMotion had one of the best products.

However, in speaking to one of their techs, the one thing they said they could not do is allow me to switch between the stock settings and modded settings. Other manufacturers for other vehicles give this option, where you are be able to switch between stock and performance modes (by way of playing with the cruise control switches, for example).

Does anyone know of another vendor than InMotion that might give options to switch between modes? I'd love to be able to switch, as I could do so at the dragstrip to give the best before-and-after comparison (since racing conditions would all be the same).

Thanks for any help!

PS: Not only did I see 2 other Crossfires on the way home today, one was another SRT-6. Love to see that!

PPS: Added a G35-S and G37-X to the kills list.

my buddy Hooley over on mbworld was telling me about this product over drinks at a bar the other night: RENNtech R.A.T plug and play ECU upgrade announced | anytuning.com

if you want to take it a step further, he has found a way to turn off the supercharger with a switch, converting the s/c to load-based. thread over in the c32/55 section on mbworld

Talk to Jake at Eurocharged. They have plans to send my computer in for a dual partition chip installed (soldered) so I can run two different tunes, A custom tune currently installed and an additional tune for when I want to run NOS and 104 octane at the track. I think it's around $900. for the chip and modification.

Hope this helps

That RENNtech gizmo sounds interesting, but they really don't specify if it even works with our ECUs. And knowing RENNtech, it will probably cost about $3,000 and only work with their tunes.

We will see though.

well i was told it would work with mine. and it if works with mine, it will work with yours. all the OBDII gauges that are incompatible with the C32 are also incompatible with the srt6.

at present time the RAT will allow you to switch between renntech tunes. So you figure in the cost of that as well as the cost of their tune(s) its gonna get expensive.
