Default NJ Drag Race Day

Do we have enough guys interested to get a private track day somewhere in NJ. My car is finished and I'm looking for some motivation to drive that distance. Maybe around October??

Sounds like a plan- Atco is a fast track and close to both Chris (distantpulse) and I.

I've got at least 4 SRTs that would be willing to go.

Count me in as long as it isn't this weekend...

...you are gonna make my buy DRs this season aren't you, dangit.

I'll be driving to NJ this weekend for the move.

Atco is a good one or Cecil works too...

It would be fun to have a private track day, but it is somewhat expensive (around $1500 minimum) I think. Oh, and it would be hella fun to show up with a dozen SRT6s that run very low 12s all night

Ask the guys over on MBworld to come and you should have plenty to cover the cost. Also keep an eye over there, usually there is a private track rental before winter sets in for you guys.

I would be interested, but it is expensive! Atco only allows 15 people per rental I believe. Trust me, we'll be tired of running our cars by the 2nd hour. If there were custom tuning there, that would be a different story.

Well TVT is tied in with LET so I think Anthony would go and he can do the remote tuning. My Buddy Chris went with the mustang crowd and I think it was 200/ person. My deal is I don't want to drive out there to get stuck in traffic and then not get in any runs. If we rent the track then at least we will have running time and not get stuck behind someone who blows up and dumps oil all over...(. Hopefully).
Kind of though we would try and make a day of it with a food and drinks.... All so the MB guys might be interest also, they were a good group at the Dyno tuning.

remote tuning is not really a feasible option for group tuning. it requires that someone from Eurocharged/LET would have to be sitting in front of a computer to do the remote tuning. You can ask Jerry at LET and Anthony at TVT, but I just don't see it as a feasible option for the time it would take for tuning all day... just saying.

We do a lot of dyno tunes remotely and get very good results. But custom tuning at the track with out the proper data logging equipmet (or at the dyno for that matter) is more of a shot in the dark. We can do basic tunes with a few tweaks, but if you don't at least have a AFR with data logging I won't do anything crazy.

If you have the Innovative Wideband I'll just stick my laptop in the car and plug it in to record the AFR as you track it.

TVT,

That is what I was referring to, by no means did I mean that as a smack against you, but at the track and the length off time between flash-run-results-repeat...for a bunch of different cars makes it difficult to keep track of for any remote tuning... hahahaha.

I live near Atco. If you are going to be in Madison, your closest track would probably be island dragway in northwest NJ. You are probably 45min away from E-town and 1.5hrs away from Atco.

Nice. I will be hitting the track the weekend after labor day. Is it bad that I am being paid $.55 per mile to drive my car to NJ for work which means I will be up about $400 after taking out gas costs...so I am going to put that money to good use and buy DRs and rims for them haha. They will be on the car by that weekend.

Doh, a weekday? You're killing me. I can probably get off for either of those, but you can put me on the maybe list for now.

Bulldogger send an email to greg@eurocharged.com he will help figure out all the details as he is the sales manager and the main point of contact now for Eurocharged and LET. He always has the phone near him if you call during business hours or you can just send user: EUROCHARGED a PM and he will get back to you in a day normally.

Actually I already called Wayne on his cell, if he doesn't get back to me then I'll drop greg an email. Thanks I tried for a weekend but nothing was left as it looks I will probably choose Thursday 11/12

Well the bad part of it, is that it's only a 6 month contract deal with no benefits! I would much rather be racing and drinking cold beer!
