tell me what you think
both crossfires i have need new rear tires, i am thinking about getting 255/35 19 Bridgestone potenza runflats with 80% tread left for my limited xfire and micheline ps2 285/35 19 with 65% tread left for my srt6 coupe....all 4 for 140 plus 40 to get all 4 installed and balanced, should i grab it? i think so
Sound like a good cheap way to learn about other brands. Could those 285's be a tad bit wide? There is another thread up today that says 275s are as wide as you should go.
well i went to a couple tire places that are well known and they said i honestly could go easily with 275 and 285 for my rear, they said even 295 is fine but that might be pushing it a lil but anymore than 295 is not good to do
You can go just about as fat as you want up to 285/35R19 in the rear on the 9" wide rim. A 295 on the 9" is a little dicey. The front's should be limited to 235/40R18 as not to rub the control arm nuts. Yikes.
The Bridgestone Potenza RE760 is a nice tire, but I'm not sure how happy you'd be with the run-flat version. Sure can't beat the prices, tho, especially the mount/balance cost - sounds to good to be true.
Good luck with the deal.

My 235/40/18 Nitto Invos were really close (less than 3/16 inch) to the front A-Arm nut. I put 10mm spacers on there for peace of mind.
Just my $.02.

I have been running Nitto Invo 285x30x19s on the rear of my SRT6 stock rims for almost 2 years (including some autocross runs) no problem and no uneven wear
On the other hand, not sure how the mix of the run-flat rears with the non run flat fronts might affect handling.
