to sell or not to sell... that's the question
to sell or not to sell... that's the question
Hey guys,
I'm thinking about selling my SRT-6 roadster because I'm running out of garage space and I'll be taking delivery of my next toy in December.
I'm really enjoying this car but having two 2-seeters seems excessive. I'm trying to decide if I should sell her as it sits with all the aftermarket goodies included or put everything back to stock and sell the parts or just be stupid and have five cars between my wife and I.
Is it worth keeping if it means sitting outside covered? I guess I'm just being stupid but I'm having a hard time thinking about getting rid of such a fun car.
I edited because I accidently said two roadsters by mistake.

be stupid and have 5 cars...
i say pay for a storage space for your new car... as a project place to work on it... since you showed me what you are getting you should keep it secretive until its done...
then come up to eurocharged and let them tune it haha.

As soon as I saw the title, "NOT TO SELL" came to mind.
Stupid and five cars. What's that make me with 17 cars?!
Guess I'm just a bloomin' idiot!
I am trying to get rid of a few cars though cuz the Crossfires have all of my attention now. Anybody wanta trade an SRT or red roadster for a sweeeet 65 Chevelle SS?

Unfortunately the local track down here would not let me run without a roll bar (twice I’ve tried) NHRA Regs Roll bar required in convertibles faster than 13 sec. I’ve been waiting for a dry day when I could try my luck in Hattiesburg MS. or State Capital in Baton Rouge.

At 695 horsepower and 890 lb-ft of torque, tune not necessary unless I plan on being buried in it
Perhaps a dyno shoot out would be fun.

Re: to sell or not to sell... that's the question
Ok I'll give you a hint, Matt is correct it is a project. Weighing in at 2350 lbs, mid engine 438ci v8 w/twin Garrett Gt35R turbos is rated @ 695HP and 890ftlbs torque @ 11psi, the engine is being built to handle 20+psi safely and I'll be able to control the boost remotely.
Looking at the power to weight ratio I should be running in the very low 10's mid 9's and 0-100 under 5 seconds and easily be a 200mph+ car.
Now I would love to have the sl-65 renntech but for the money and after test driving a 2009 sl-65 I decided to go with something that would really give me the performance level I'm wanting for both track www.nolamotor.com and for the strip. That's why I'm trying to decide if I should keep the SRT-6 and have two 2-seaters. The money from the crossfive would probably cover the trans, brakes and wheels.
But I know I would end up missing it!
