iphone junkies...
WHOA!!!! I was ok with the ***** but became extremely offended when the forum did not *** out the word bitching...
...that's bitching...
...that's bitching...
I have had an iPhone for a while now and have to say I love it.
I had been a long time Verizon customer and had to switch to AT&T for the iPhone. I too hate the fact that they charge extra for and limit the data plan and it's capabilities. By the way there is a way to use a "cracked" iPhone as a wireless, wifi modem for your computer on the 3G network.
The AT&T signals are weak or absent in some places that Verizon was great. Along a major highway I should not be with out service, I have seen it, rediculous! But, my AT&T service is actually better at my house than the Verizon service was. I am in the woods, bordering a state forest, go figure!!
Don't forget that Apple wants to put stuff out that works and works well, that is probably why the iPhones do not contain all the features the others do.
Can you process a credit card and print wirelessly on your network from the BBs? I admit I know nothing about BBs.
Oh and let's not forget that AT&T wants to charge you extra for texting on top of your iPhone data plan! Bunch of BS!!
And there is an app called "textfree.com" or freetext.com which can be used on the iPhone and not have any texting charges, if you use it right. I refuse to pay for texting when I am already paying for a data plan. Texting is just a "cash cow" for AT&T.
Stan.

The capabiities for the iPhone are almost endless. i write applications for the iphone/mac os x as well and apple gives you the ability to change alot through the phone, not as much as android but more than Blackberry does thats for sure.

1. Backgrounder(allows you to run any applications in the background like a Blackberry, for instance listening to music from Pandora(great app as well) while texting.
2. 3g unrestrictor this one is a MUST, you can download this app and bring your minutes down to the lowest you possibly can, because you will recieve and send all of your calls through your internet, which means you pay just a tad over 30 dollars a month(which is the internet price)
3.SBSettings is another good one, it allows you to add or subtract pretty much anything on your iPhone from your computer. its a nice one but may not be for everyone
