Going to look at 3rd SRT today
Went to look at it last Friday, but dealership closed early and no one was there. It was unlocked so I looked around. Seems in excellent shape, bot a dent or scratch. 3 minor things they said they will fix when I called them. Anything in particular to check on for on SRT? I know the usual Crossfire things.
i/c pump check all the pulleys for bearing wear. radiator for recall i/c for leakage. other than that the motor is pretty solid.
interior issues are seat heaters, recirc flap breaking
driveline issue is really only the carrier bearing. easy fix

To be honest if it has a warranty it's an easy fix, but to be quite honest I wouldn't want the OEM Bosch unit. Just get a Johnson pump and change it out yourself, it's a quick/easy fix

I'm not EVEN going to ask if its BLACK. I think you know better than THAT!
no way. they are way too slow. Aero blue. After looking around on the interwebs for over 2 months I found a total of 4 different SRT-6 in range. All are aero blue.
Have them check that the E-19 radiator fan control module TSB was done. I think the first guy above mentioned that as the "radiator recall". If you are back east, look for rust along the door seals where they sometimes hold water.
Did you see this one..... Looks like a h3ll of a deal to me! He is located in Baltimore.... same as you. Not sure what price you are looking at, but a SRT with 5K miles and the additional stuff he is letting go with it for 18.5K makes this a no brainer in my book. Ohhhh.... and it is Aero Blue. But for the price I could overlook that one flaw
BLACK RULES, AND HAS AN EXTRA 50 HP!

I did see that one. i talked to him a few times and test drove it. It is in excellent condition, but I cant sell my car first, so I am stuck going to a dealer
Had the worst experience I ever had at a dealer. I ended up walking out because the sales manager was so disrespectful. I emailed the general manger and VP

Been there done that. What happen to you? When I bought my second XF I already had a buyer for the first one. Once I got them both together I had to keep them both!
the sales manager was taking phone calls, walking out of the office while I was mid-sentence. The sales guy walked away to put the tags back inside and he stopped to talk to 2 other customers for 5 minutes and left us waiting. The manager refused to drop at all on price stating "we just lowered the sticker $1500". He didn't want to fix what was broken and that with the combination of him being inattentive and disrespectful made me leave.
That sucks. I know the feeling. I went to a dealership to buy a Jeep and the salesman went to get me the keys for a test drive. After a few minutes I go to find him and he is helping someone else. A few years later I go back there again and none would help me. Both times I purchased a vehicle the same day but from another dealership. I hate to say it but they were prejuding me because of age (early 20's) or something.
When I bought my crossfire the guy went out of his way to help me. He lowered the cost of the car and gave me an additional $1500 on my trade-in than originally quoted to get the numbers were I wanted them. Keep looking and someone will work the right deal for you.
Another instance I remember was when one of my good friends father was going to buy a vehicle. He was wearing his work clothes which was a dirty Texaco shirt and jeans. He said the salesman was being a real jerk because he must have thought he worked at a store. The salesman didn't know that he actually owned Texaco stores and was paying cash for a vehicle.

One of my stories.
Dressed in Levi shorts and a t-shirt (hey it was a Saturday!) I was working on a deal (Chevy) and went home to get my trade in vehicle for the dealer to look at.
Returned to find the salesman had left due to sickness. I asked if someone would look at my trade and after getting the run around I was asked if I could come back Monday. I left. When to a dealer (Ford) down the street that was closing for the day and told him what just happened. He told me to come by the next day (Sunday, not open) and HE would be there with a finance guy to assist me.
I bought a car from them, returned to the Chevy dealer Monday and asked to see the manager. Told him that I have 12 Chevy vehicles and wanted another but that I had bought my first Ford because of the way I was treated.
He wasn't too happy. Oh well...

Here's my story....
Went to Towbin Dodge(King of Cars on TV) in Jan of 2008. I gave the salesman my employee discount code(for family). I bought my brand new Caliber SRT-4 for $20,100. After several mods, i am at around 330 whp, but ALL front wheel hop(need to get stiffer motor mounts).
Moral of MY story: Even though i am 6'3", i should have boughten the srt-6 i wanted back in 2007 when they were still "new"....
Now I am just waiting for an unbelievable deal to add an srt-6 to my srt-4....
There were a couple close one's on here, but i'm still waiting.
