Default SRT oil leak front of engine

Anyone have any experience with an oil leak that has the front of the engine wet with some pooling in the cover at bottom.
Assume this could be anthing from seals around pulleys, supercharger or the pump. Does not look like anything related to oil filter or the dip stick or valve covers.
Checking my VIN number to validate if I still have warranty since I bought the car used.
Any input would be appreciated.

I think I have heard of the front seal leaking behind the crank pulley (Large one on the bottom) although it is rare!

OF COURSE you gotta know that Id have it. Had to redu the front seal. Typical seal, the part is $30++ and has to be inserted EVENLY and smoothly.

I bent the crank when a pulley let go and the adjustment of the pulley and all killed the seal behind the pulley. Been there and done that.

Woody

TAKE YOUR TIME and rehearse it several times before you insert it or youll be getting another chance to do it again...............................

My crank pulley started leaking when I swapped pulleys. Then it magically fixed its self after I bought the seal to fix it with!
I say wait for the magic to happen!

Thanks guys for the input. Sounds like that could be the problem since it appears to be at front end of the engine.

i've had this. when i first got my car years ago, i installed the 178 evosport crank pulley and resused the same crank bolt. it was not known at the time (at least to me) that they were one time use stretch bolts. over the year it started wobbling and then my main seal eventually went.

Good news is that I confirmed my warranty is still in tact until Nov. 09. Just purchashed the extened one using the link posted here on the forum. Have is scheduled to go into the dealer this Thursday. I hope they know what they are doing. One of the members here in Maryland had his car serviced there and knows the service manager.

This is why I joined the forum. Great people and information to make decisions.

Best Regards,

Dealer just called and "it appears the oil filter" was not properly installed. They are going to put a new one in and degrease motor to ensure no other leaks. I swear I did not see it coming from that area.

They are going to charge me $75 to do this. Fair enough if that takes care the problem.

Thanks for all your input. I believe someone said oil filter from the get go.
