That car has been around for a while for sale. It is a SRT that was stripped of the SRT stuff and replaced with Base model stuff.

This car almost needs to be a sticky it comes up so often.

It WAS an SRT6 but one of the previous owners apparently defaulted on it and took everything that made it an SRT6 but the motor and put it on his base coupe before the repo man got ahold of it. The bigger rotors and calipers, the leather seats, the front bumper, the wing, the rims, the fog lamps, the sill plates, the lower speaker surrounds, the cup holder and the Infinity radio. This car is a mess and from the looks of it, I'd guess the body control module was never swapped so no wing function.

Stay away from this one like the plague!

To be honest I was in a email tiff with the sellers. It looked like a Limit addition vs a SRT model. I guess I was wrong !!! I just can't believe someone would de-badge such a car so badly.........sigh

It wasn't debadged, it was stripped. He didn't even take the time to paint the wing or the bumpers or the wheels although one of the various dealerships that have had this one their lot looks to have painted the wing. I know the first time this car popped up, it too was black.

So sad. At least it makes our SRT6s more valuable. Too bad there is no shot of the engine -- the seats and speedo are definitely SRT6 but who knows if all the pictures are from the same car.

The seats in that car are not suede and leather SRT6 seats, they are the cloth base seats.

Some dealership will probably get wise and paint the bumper to match and get rid of the decals, maybe even repaint the wheels the stock silver, and then some unsuspecting person will come along and buy it, find out about the forum and get out the real story with the car and be very disappointed, but not before it sees another half a dozen auctions.

It was what the VIN number says it is. It is what is in the mind of the beholder.

Do a search for the Black Maxx Edition and you will see the numerous threads on the history of this Crossfire, through its life of resales at numerous dealerships in the US. This is an altered SRT6, by a former forum member, before it was repoed...

Looks like the car is still for sale here in Dallas. At least this dealaer is more honest than all the others about the description of the car. At $22K I don't see if finding a home anytime soon.

Bob, I just read that add and they are still saying;

"DUAL TONE HEATED POWER LEATHER SEATS, AM/FM/CD PREMIUM AUDIO SYSTEM, AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WITH MANUAL SHIFT OPTION, ELECTRONIC TRACTION CONTROL, BLACK 19" STAGGERED 6-SPOKE ALLOY WHEELS, NEW TIRES, and much more! This gorgeous Graphite Metallic over Gray/Black leather Crossfire is in incredibly clean condition, up to date on all service requirements through Chrysler(?), and ready to go today! You are sure to be pleased with this AWESOME coupe for years to come. This vehicle has been extremely well maintained in all areas; it looks, drives, and runs flawlessly. This is a rare, very powerful, fun to drive, head-turining, sporty, and luxurious performance-oriented Crossfire, and it is priced to save you thousands!"

But they do say that it looks like a LTD....

Looks like it says sold on the ad ... maybe it will finally get a good home ....

Edit:::: after a closer look I think this car has the ltd brakes on the front> Rotors look too small in diameter to be SRT ,, thats not good....

Not the same size
