I need wings
The Australian dollar is doing really well right now so ive decided its a great time to buy some mods. Im having a hard time deciding what to get from NW. I want to spend under 1k. As i see it my options would be to get either a Single NW intake, Y pipe and Ignition cables or should i just get the Dual NW intake? Or would i be best off with HE and single NW intake? Will i even be getting and gains from other mods i have mentioned apart from the intake? If theres something im missing and is a viable/useful option please let me know!
I'd go for the single NW plus the heat exchanger. Heat is a much bigger detriment to the SRT engine than the discrepancy between the double and single intakes would be.
Keep the IAT's low and it'll help you immensely. You can always upgrade to a dual at a later date.

Im changing intakes purely for the sound, do i have greater risk of my pump going being that i have a couple mods? I would have higher Intake temps from my pulley? so HE makes good sense too. Thanks guys

An aftermarket tune or intake mainfolds would give you that extra boost of power, upgraded IC pump and exchanger would also help retain power on consistant hard driving. either steps are good choices.
I haven't done any mods to the HE, and I have a Johnson pump on the shelf, but haven't needed it yet. I would do the tune...although the manis are going to give you more Hp, I haven't done that yet and still running very close to those who have...so for under 1K, the tune would be high on my list... your intake and code3 are doing what they will do peak right now, so going to duel cai isn't going to help that much. I have it, love it, but you need to bring together what you already have...so I vote tune....any left over $$$, sell the sl55, and buy the dual...its a breathing monster...
you can build a h/e for just about 375$. have a h/e built in your town buy a cm30 and a c3 pulley new or used. then mod your intakes as i did or go with sl55 airboxes. 1,000 spent. now save for a tune just my .02 you wont be the fastest but you will be much faster than stock and still be able to upgrade later without having a boatload of wasted parts. you can also do the coolant separation for about 2$. best cooling mod beyond the bigger h/e

Best upgrade for HE is the OEM E55 unit. It fits in the sotkc location and is about 30% larger. You can find them for 150-175 in perfect condition.
It is about 4 inches longer then the stock unit, a tad thicker, and a little taller. Best bang for your buck!

You already have an SL55 Intake and a C3 pulley. I would go for the Tune first. NW intake = no new power. HE would be nice, but would be well after the tune on my list. Just my 2 cents. Good luck with whatever you choose. There are always people looking for an SL55 intake... Sell it and get the NW single.
Thanks for all your input it has really helped alot to better understanding what to do. I have one last question. Why should i buy a HE? i know it will keep the temps down but will i see extra gains to what i have now? Having a little loss of power on the street is something i cant really feel. By reducing the IAT with a HE and coolant seperator im not losing as much timing right? so would i in turn have gains regardless for the fact temps will be lower than they are with my current setup? Im not fussed about a little loss in power on the streets but if im infact getting a faster car than what i have now it appeals to me. If that assumption is right would i be gaining any more than a car lengths distance to what i have now?
No "real"/ additional HP gains with HE. Look at it like this. You just ran someone down the street/strip and now you want to run him again or someone else. Your S/C and IAT's are spiking because of the work they just did. You may not notice it SOTP, but your car is now pulling timing/HP to compensate the temps. You could be taken the second time and loose face, lol. The upgraded HE would help the S/C to cool down and continue it monster crushing work. Hope that helps. So No gains, just keeps you consistant.

i have tighed1's supercooler and it has been a great benefit to my car. in tn in the summer temps pass 100* and the car never has iat issues. the colant separation can be done for about 2$ and thats another great way to combat high iat's
dj's supercooler is huge!! if i remember its 26" x16"x 1" so much surface area to be cooled you can stick your finger in the coolant anytime and its lukewarm. try that with the oem and you pull back a blistered finger!
