~*~* Mission accomplished today at the track!! ~*~*
My goal with the car was to be the fastest with the least mods and to hit 11.99 this year. I spent a lot of time fine tuning the car all summer and it payed off. Since I live over 250 miles from the nearest track and typically only make it to the track 2 or 3 times a year at the most i was a little worried but i somehow managed it lol.
The car made the 500+ mile round trip without a hitch
The track prep was amazing, I was launching harder and harder on each run and the car was doing better and better each time. I have no doubt I could have ran a little quicker with one more run but it was getting late and I had to make the 250+ mile drive home so I called it a day. I was thrilled with my times though.
Buffnsofly, I was hoping you would be there today. I got up early and washed and waxed and cleaned up the car inside and out just in case you showed up lol.
Enough talk, here are the videos and timeslips to back up all the chit chat lol. Double click the videos to watch in HD if you would like.
Huh-oh! Fast Chrysler Crossfires 1/4 Mile 0-60 Drag Racing - DragTimes.com
My first run, the car was pretty hot but I wanted to get a base run. This was a launch at 1200rpms or so to test the track prep:

My 2nd run, the car had some time to cool off and I launched at 1500rpm to test the track prep again:

My 3rd run and what I thought would be the best lol. Launched around 2000rpms:

My 4th run even better! Check out that 60' time!

Here is the DA, I feel silly even posting this:

silly corrected times that mean nothing:

Extensively Modified Naturally Aspirated Engines
11.709 @ 118.429 MPH
Extensively Modified Supercharged and Turbocharged Engines

I hope to hit the track again in the spring and who knows i may get a little better time but today exceeded my expectations already!
Mr. Photo, those were some great videos. Looks like you surprised more than a few unsuspecting competitors (especially the cowel inductioned Camaro).
Great times! Just when I thought I'd stop modifying my wife's car! I think I may have to put a meth kit on her now. Thanks alot. Those are some good solid 11's. Nobody can say you had a fluke perfect D.A. 11.99 and quit for the year. Way to represent for us "little pulley guys"!
Way to go. Very nice. What DR setup are you running???
Meth kit seemed to help very nicely. Is your tune a meth tune, or just a regular tune with a meth kit added after tune.\
EDIT: Just realized you became the fastest down the 1/4 mile off the bottle. Very nice.

never thought an old cop would ever want to be hooked on meth...but what a difference...I have been snooping on devils own...but, I now have to do even more homework...but Erik, bikecop, was working on me over a yr ago to take this approach...I should have listened lol...

I am sooooooo proud of you!!!! :P
LoL, no man really......Those are some great f'n times!! Congrats! I guess we can definitely say where the meth SHOULD go now. I am going to have to plug my intake manis and run the meth up to the elbow now. Not exactly happy about it, but if that is where it should go, so be it. Great 60's on the last two passes!
