naw. my buddy just picked up his single turbo supra for 29K....and that was from a dealership. you can 100% get them under 35 and even 30. easy. the guy who sold the car to the dealership was originally selling it as a private owner for 25. it is a 95 with 90K miles on it in pristine condition.

Hell yeah!!!! You can find a sweet supercharged E55 for that kind of money. Ahhhh..... there I go dreaming again. Maybe I just need to sell my boat so that I don't need the Odyssey to pull it around. Then I could get one. Anyone interested in a 19 foot Caravelle with 3' swim platform. 4.3liter engine. lol

 

for 30-35K, a supra would be my top choice....including above E55s. i guess its just me. it's my favorite car.

 

I would need to stroke mine $8K+ Greddy T88 turbo kit $5K.........nuff said. Done Deal!! That's just me (if I got Supra) so I would need 13K to splurge off top. Cant see that happening though. netiher would I want too hehehe

 

If I were 22, I just might agree with you. At 49, the E55 wins hands down.

 

you make a valid point. having driven a couple E55s, they are very nice and quite quick. but at this point in my life, i dont need a large luxury sedan. or maybe my desire go get a supra has to do with several of my good buddies having one, including one i am running out to help put the motor in right now. the power is addicting and when the turbo hits, i like the feel better.....its hard to beat the feel of a 750whp supra

 

or you could get a c6 corvette and add $500 in mods to it and be faster than the supra with $8000 in mods and it will also handle better on the track (roadcourse)

everyone likes something different though.

 

i completely agree... i would also choose a clk63 BS above a supra...but i'm just hypnotized by those cars so maybe I'm biased.

 

Yea that is a true statement but the Supra has far more parts available for it then any of the cars that you all are talking about. Vettes are a true piece of work but cost an *** to fix. E55s are nice as well but come on we all drive cars with the MB all over them you know engine trouble happens you need a loan to fix it lol. Supras are just a car that was built to be built on. If you are going to make a legitimate arguement make it a nice one. I work with guys who talk about cars all day so when I get here I hope to run across guys who actually have common sense and car sense but apparently that is a shortcoming.

 

lol corvettes are cheap to fix and the aftermarket for corvettes is gigantic. it far eclipses the aftermarket for supras.

Ok if you say so. IM a young guy and Im still learning I admit but i know one thing something breaks on a mans corvette you dont see him with the hood up trying to figure it out he just takes it down to the dealership and hopes for the best. Same with the e55. JMO.

 

Pretty strong words my friend. There are many many people on here that were modding/racing cars before you were even twinkle in your daddy's eye. To say that people with car sense is a shortcoming on this site is moronic. I appreciate your enthusiasm, and the exuberance that comes with youth, but you might want to choose your words more wisely. You would be surprised at the number of members here that have either worked side by side with legends in racing, or are legends in their own right. Just some food for thought.

 

Not sure what men you are referring to. No matter the car, some men are wrench turners, and others enjoy the pleasure of owning a performance machine while having the financial wherewithal to pay someone to keep it in tip top shape.

Not to mention they look a lot better than the supra IMO......Yeah, for 30-35k, there aint no way I would buy a supra. Although I wouldn't pay 15k for one. lol, that is just me though.

 

I raced a TT supra in my old SRT from 90kms to 250kms we did it 3 times beat him by around 2 to 3 car lengths all 3 times.

My old SRT had a powerchip and a pully.
