Default Viper anyone?

I have a friend that is thinking about selling his 2004 Viper this spring. It has 3200 miles on it! I know he will ask top dollar for it but if you want a cherry Viper this would be it. He really takes care of his cars. His family beater is a Jeep SRT8!

I will post it on here when he makes up his mind - and no, he won't take a SRT6 in trade. I already asked him!

From what ive seen those things have really dropped in value. You can get new body style ones at the auction for less than $30k, im guessing he will want $40-45....curious to know.

I used to think the Viper roadster was the sexiest car made. It still has a nice look, but it's even less a daily driver than the XF roadster. At least the XF is comfortable on long trips and gets pretty good gas mileage. I'll stick with my XFs.

The only ones really dropping in value are the ones 2003 and after. Newer body style made them pretty difficult to work on. My wife still gets offers in the 60's for her's.

I'm a viper fan...a couple of my friends have vipers tucked away in their garages for sunny days....if the price is right, but, with those miles, it won't be and I don't blame him...let us know though

60's?! Darn, I would jump on that. Imagine what you could get with 60 big ones.

I'm thinking late model Z06 with a supercharger and some really good slicks. Hello mid to low 10's!

Rapps probably hasn't responded yet because they're already driving out to Maine to pick it up, thereby allowing them to have "His & Her" matching Vipes.

I have a Viper waiting in the wings some time in the future. My son owns a 2005 and he said in the next few years he is getting one of the new ones with an extra 100 HP! I'm Ok with 500 HP, but apparently he got used to it.

Where is the justice today when the father gets their son's hand me downs?

Next few years? I read somewhere 2010 is it for the Viper?? tell him to get out there and get that new Viper. Not a bad deal for you, I'd get myself in way too much trouble with a car like that!

and a z06 has active stability control and traction control which is very very nice to have when your making that much power. the viper has neither which can make for a dangerous ride if your not very careful.

Vipers are pretty primitive and require alot more drive skill, but on the same token they are much easier to trouble shoot.

I think he said he was going to get a 2009 when the price came down a little.

I can see where you would beat a Viper in the 1/4. Looks like the standard Viper has an extremely fast 0-60 though. I found this on Cars.com.

0-60 mph 3.74 seconds 1/4 mile 12.51 seconds at 116.51 mph Lateral acceleration .97 g Slalom 61 mph
