On my way to a car event in Cool Springs, TN called Cars and Coffee I got a speeding ticket.

Fun fact: Going over 100 mph in Williamson County Tennessee gets you 48 hours in jail.

My ticket 97 in a 70. It'll cost me $217. I had an excellent time though, 2 Challenge Stradales, 1 612 Scaglietti, 1 355, 1 360 Modena, 1 360 Spyder, several P cars and a Mclaren Mercedes SLR. What beautiful cars, and some really awesome car guys... Oh we had the new Porsche Panamera.

 

Oh crap. Just drove 1500 miles. Miami to Biloxi, Mississippi. 10 hours each way. Not a single ticket and averaged 81 mph each way. 20mpg............ I got home at 10 last night. Went golfing this morning...(shot 79)...Had lunch and we were talking about speeding ticketssssss................. And wtf.. On the way home I get off the Turnpike and behind a pickup at the light and he moves over and bingo.....61/40.... One mile from home. Hope I can get this one taken care of.

Just be thankful it wasn't in Georgia or it would be an additional $200.

 

66 in a 40 was 137$ for me. (26 over). about 2 miles away from home.

 

I can't believe in two years of driving my roadster like a teenager I haven't gotten a ticket. I don't want to jinx my luck by saying anything.....so, I wont.

Move to Doral, Florida. I have lived here 24 years w/o a ticket and bamm. Two tickets in 10 days.

 

Oh man, I've never heard of someone getting a ticket going to Cars 'n Coffee. Typically, they get it leaving:

 

man that sux!! never heard of that gtg. next time hollar at me and ill run interference!

 

I went for the first time saturday and they do this once a month. I believe it's the first Saturday every month and once I can get this confirmed I'll post something in the southeast section of this forum. I'd like to see if we can get a few crossfires there next time. Of course your SLK32 as well

 

im sure jmh2k wants to show off his new white limited!! i have seen quite a few xfires in the area but no srt-6's. as far as i know you have the only 1 and i have the only 32!!

 

I selectively speed. My weakness is what law enforcement terms exhibition acceleration ,however with the SRT what seem like a routine launch, qualifies for a violation. Fortunately so far, I have escaped detection. Our little aero blue roadster has been an enjoyment to own and drive. Everywhere my wife and I go, we meet people we would never have met had it not been for the interest they express in this vehicle. Young and old stare and give us thumbs up, as we drive by. Were anxiously awaiting Spring so we can take the roaster and motorcycle out of hibernation. This Fall I acquired a Yamaha v-star silverado 1100, which I was only able to ride 500 miles before putting it away for the winter. My wife has never before been willing to ride with me , but she recently purchased a full set of leathers so it looks like I am going to have an occassional passenger. She has always enjoyed rather spirited rides in the Crossfire, so I am anxious to see her reaction to an aggressive motorcycle ride. Happy motoring!

Saturday was the 2nd making it the first Saturday of the Month. Right or am I missing something?

Guess it's Dallas that has thiers on the last Saturday!

 

It's super long but it's interior is fantastic. Personally I don't care for it, but I can see it's use. This one was the Turbo.
