Finally got my wife out of the house for a short drive on Sunday ,she has been really under the weather as of late and I thought the ride would do her good. Now back to story
we are riding along conversing about the cold weather and heated seats when from nowhere comes a PT Cruiser of all things ,runs up beside me and starts lurching forward and back along side trying to provoke a race . I stay cool because my wife is in the car with me and she says whats his problem ? and I just said "KIDS" He mashes down on it and out of sight , he was really letting it go , maybe a mile or so later there he was on the side of the road with a Tennessee State Trooper , they had him out of the car talking to him (it was colder than dammit outside too ) as I went by I blowed the horn and my wife just looked at me and said your mean,,,, Did I mention the Trooper looked pissed......

LOL sounds like a turbo pt with the srt4 engine. I guess justice was served.

 

the cop was wondering how a pt could out run him that is why he looked pissed,, just so you know it was a pt GT with a PT turbo motor then they made the srt4 and put the pt motor in it. well after the PT Turbo was already on the road, look at my sig you will see a pt GT 2003. I was driving this car in Oct. of 2002. I know everybody says pt with a srt motor, they don't know either, OH just so you know this same motor was in a van, way earler than either the PT or the SRT4. my 3650 LB (with me in it ) pt ran in the 12's the neon srt weighs 2800 lbs. have a happy new year. jim

 

A used PT GT would be a fun little side project. What kind of mods did you have to do to get into the 12's? I was just looking at them on Cars.com and many of them are under 10k to purchase. Talk about bang for the buck!
