Squeak coming from rear of car?
Now that we are in the colder months of the year, sounds seem to be amplified. I don't know if it's literally due to the lower temps and/or the fact that I drive with the windows up with allows me to hear things more clearly.
I've been noticing on take off I hear a little squeak or chirp come rear of the car. I don't believe we have a limited slip, so maybe it's the shocks? It does it on a normal slow takeoff.
Once the car is warmed up I don't hear it- that's the odd thing (if it is suspension related).
PS OT but my seat heater on my driver's side doesn't work. Apparently this malfunction is common. Does anyone know what exactly goes in them that make them stop working. Is it something I could order the part for and do myself? Is it worth paying a dealer to fix it- considering it could go bad again and there are very few days cold enough that I'd use it consistently. Thanks in advance everyone!

cant help with the squeak but the seats are very common. theres a repair kit but is fairley involved. the elements are sewn into the seat cover so the dealer will only replace the cover. i think 700$? search the forum theres an in depth thread on the repair.

I am getting like issue but from the front. When I take off from a dead stop, I get a slight squeak, from a control arm maybe? I noticed while under the car that the boot for the control arm was flat, meaning it was not holding any lubrication, and noticed the lack of grease fittings. I was going to send it up to have it inspected while replacing the steering stabilizer, which is leaking, but thought I would try here first.

Did you recently get new tires. If so, the tire jocky may have overtorque the lug bolts. Or simply tightened them up improperly.
It warps the rotors. Just enough to occasionaly kiss the pads.
I have an intermitent squeak from the rear. It is the cause. I'm saving up for a full set of slotted front and rears when I change out the pads this spring.

Mine squeaks as the front raises slighty for take off. I am not accelerating fast, just moving through the light, but everytime I hear a squeak. i am assuming it is the wheel hub/A-arm moving up on the control arm fitting.
I get a squeek as well. but i use my e-brake everytime i park so im not putting pressure on the parking rod in the auto. Just happens the first time you tap the go pedal. I'm at 25k and i would begin to bet some of the rubber bushing are already begining to wear. wonder if any polyurethane kits are available for the crossfire yet...
