Default Total engine rebuild, ANYONE DONE IT?

Has anyone done a complete rebuild on their SRT?
Heck as far as that goes any Crossfire?
Just wondering how tough to acquire the parts or is it easy through MB? Also wondering about cost? No need for guesses I can do that and I am sure it wouldn't be cheap.
Though I have no problems (knock on wood) I would love to pull mine down and at least crosshatch and re-ring.
Just curious...

These folks are about a 1/2 hr from me. Unless you want to do the work yourself - they offer parts, kits, cores, etc...

Maybe he smoked his SRT.
Thus this post.

Or maybe someone else has been using the (one) Internet line in Montana and Mike couldn't get back on!

Actually I have been trying to handle the withdrawls of not being able to drive my SRT.
It's 2 degrees today we have already seen 30 below and we have had a $hit load of snow this year.
My car is parked, safely I may add and waiting for those clear days that she can come out and see the sun. I have driven it about 5 times since Thanks giving and it's so much easier to forget about if I don't get on forum and talk about it.
Just making those plans for her spring debute.
Been spending most of my winter building Custom Guitars.
Mike

That engine rebuilder is crazy expensive, 10,000+ is a joke and 'cam bearings may be replaced'???. Glad that my lucky stars can do that without getting toasted, for that money you should cut the car up sell the parts - front bumper and buy another one for less. Whoooo oooh Woody

Depending on what needs to be replaced, it isn't all that difficult or expensive to get parts. If you can get away with just rings and bearings you will be good. If you need new pistons or machine work, get an used block. Machine work on these cylinder walls is $$$.
