I just have to vent. Today I woke up to a VERY loud bang. My heart dropped through my chest went the first thing that came to mind was my crossy. I ran to the window bare-naked to find my girlfriends brother repeatedly hitting the front of my bumper with his nissan SE R Type V (2002), he would roll back and hit and then pull forward, happened 2-3 times.. He has a stick and can barely drive it and struggles badly with reverse. He was late to work and my car was parked behind his. I get dressed to look at my injured baby and by then he is ALREADY GONE. I call up my girlfriends mother and she comes home is pissed as hell. He just got his insurance two days ago at $316 a month. They will prolly drop him now, hes 18. So when i get outside my front bumper is dented in and scratched to hell, an and license plate is folded in half. I look at the grill and it is pushed into the engine bay. THANK GOD he didnt roll up onto my hood, that is fine. Calling insurance tomorrow is what his mom is doing. Now every time I walk up to my baby there is red nissan paint all over the front of her. I havent told my woman yet, but ill be back tonight to keep you guys updated with her reaction of what her brother did. I remember reading at some point there being a VERY long back order on front bumpers. Is this still true?

I just checked a few weeks ago, when mine got injured...they have them again...

 

that is the best news i have heard in a long time.... thank you so much for letting me know. I knew at one point there was like a 8 month back order so I was crapping my pants.

 

Is your girlfriend's brother mentally challenged....Or just a ******?

 

I wish I could say he was one of those, hes a drop out from high school then gets his GED and take one college class a semester type of kid....GOSH!

This has to be a first for me to quote 4 people in the same thread with the same response. IT'S A CAR. Yes, I'd be fuming mad if someone did this to my car but it sounds like it wasn't intentional and beating the heck out of him isn't going to fix the car. Now if someone took a baseball bat to my car, it would be a different story but that isn't the case here. Yeah, he's got some learning to do but bashing his face in isn't going to make things right. I was really taken back by these comments. Sorry to be the debbie downer but it's not right.

 

My thinking is...damn did he not notice that he hit your car 3 x's?? If so and he just drove off...then he may have been scared of what you may have done to him but damn. I can see if just 1 hit...he would get a pass but 2-3 then a good WTF!!

 

Back into car 1 time, OK s**t happens. Twice? WTF. Three times and then take off? Sorry, baseball bat to the head.

 

Here's an idea... Take him out and teach him how to drive a stick. Also talk to him and see if he'll be willing to pay you for the repair out of pocket. I'm sure he doesn't need the dent on his record.
