Need help in Richmond, VA
I found this forum yesterday and after searching around I confirmed my assumption that the supercharger in my girlfriend's 2005 SRT6 Roadster was shutting off from time to time. I discussed this with her yesterday and told her that the intercooler pump needed to be replaced. She has only had the car for maybe 6 to 8 weeks and purchased an extended warranty with it.
Here is the problem, she contacted several chrysler dealerships in the area and no one really knows anything about these cars. The one person that thought they knew something, told her that the intercooler pump was part of the supercharger and that they would need to replace the entire supercharger ($7000). I know this is not the case, the pump can be replaced by itself for a few hundred dollars.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend to me where to take her crossfire to get this problem resolved that was in my area. I believe she needs to find someone to confirm this problem before she can get her warranty honored.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Jason

Call up Koons Chevrolet of Tysons. They are located in Norther VA only an hour drive from you. They have(had) a Crossfire tech when I had my rear differential replaced two years ago. They do good work and are reputable. Definitely check with them and see if they still have a crossfire tech.
What i would do is buy this pump
Bosch Electric Intercooler Pump 317GPH 12V 0392022002: eBay Motors (item 350353417472 end time Jun-11-10 11:20:20 PDT)
and have the dealer install it if possible, much better than the oem pump. Its the same pump the SVT Ford vehicles use and Ive never heard of anyone having a problem
