Me (SRT6) vs BMW Z4 M coupe, GT 500, Porsche 911 carrera 4, etc
Fun weekend at the track with lots of super nice cars and nice people. I had fun passing the Porsche's, BMW M cars and
Mustangs. The car handles great, really balanced with the pole position tires. With the 285/35/19 in the back and the
235/40/18 in the front the car almost feels neutral-- no bad oversteer or understeer but has a nice small amount of oversteer
for fun. I am super happy with how it drives now. I even broke the rear tires loose in one corner where I went into it a
little too hot and the car maintained control really well, the handling is very "confidence inspiring". I was even able to
keep right on a Porsche running major suspension mods, cage and slicks which really surprised me.
Double click on the vids to watch in HD:

They look great to me? Looks like serious fun.....I think you stunned a few guys there!!
Hey photoman, as I remember you have an HHR SS too don't you? Technologically, how does the "No-Lift-Shift" feature differ from the stick in the XF? The manual in the XF definitely is smoothest when you don't let off the gas....

No pictures but the videos are up and they look great! Passing is fun, especially the ones that don't want to be passed. I would guess some Porsche owners are looking up the specs on SRT-6's about now.

Hey photoman, how often do you go to the track?
Any chance if I drove over your way and brought my helmet I could get a ride along (even though I'd slow you down haha) ???
I'd love to come watch and learn from you sometime.
Where in pa do you go by the way? I'll have to figure out how long it would take me to get there.

as for the srt6 handling, i was disappointed with it for the first year or so, I honestly felt my old tiburon (h&r springs, traction bars, front and rear upgraded sway bars, front and rear strut bars) handled better on the roadcourse even though it was fwd. but once i got my tires and tire sizes and air pressure worked out (and got used to the car more) i think the car does fantastic now. I am really confident with driving it now and was pleased at how well it did.
i may take the hhr ss out there one day too lol. it handles nice but on some corners with any sort of left or right grade to it the rear end wants to swing out with absolutely no notice and then the stability control jumps in really hard and it scares the sh*t out of you. Because of that i would be scared to push it very hard on the track, a big part of that may just be the crappy (really crappy) stock tires that came on it though.
Thanks guys and sorry about the pics being delete/re-uploaded. when i ran them through the image converter to make them smaller it put little lines through the pics (checkerboard) and made them dull looking for some reason. it did it again the 2nd time so i just gave up. i will upload the originals later when i have time.

That looks Fun!
Some sweet cars, forsure!!
Wow! What a nice track
You could put all 4 wheels off there and other than a mandatory stop and check, there's nothing to hit
. My Home track is Auto Club Speedway (Fontana Ca) and there is plenty of places to wreck a car into an immovable object there
GOPro shoots great vids-when they are working right, mine's been finicky since I got it
You are making it look way too easy to hold your line, half those corners you had another 6' of track width. You definatly got the balance worked out. Mind sharing tire specs and pressures? Did you shoot some tread temps to help with your set up pressure? Nice of the Shelby GT 500 driver to point you past after a few corners

Mr. P you are the man! The SRT6 does surprise people when driven with gusto like you did.
Nice and smooth, great car and great driving!
