Default Superchargers

Are there SRT-6 Crossfires without supercharged motors? There are two locally advertised as SRT6 Crossfires but neither are supercharged so I was very disappointed today when I checked them out. Sorry for the simpleton question~

Yes, they are called Limiteds, have no fixed wing, have a motorized wing, different wheels, and no SRT-6 badging.

Fortunately, in production from Chrysler there are no non-supercharged SRT-6 model Crossfires.

The supercharger isn't visible while the stock engine cover is on. It should look like this.

It's my understanding their was an SRT-6 appearance package. No fixed wing, just the wheels and so forth.

100% NO SRT-6 appearance package. Base, Limited, SRT-6 were offered in 2005 in both coupe and roadster models---that's it!!!!! Some may add parts later, but did not come from the factory.

There were later models with SRT wheels, but that was it....nothing else SRT....

There is the red roadsters that had the srt6 wheels on them. Maybe they are mistaken.

Those are the "Special Edition" Crossfires. From edmunds.com.....

Unique to the base Roadster was an optional Special Edition package (2006 and '07 model years) that included Inferno Red Crystal Pearl Coat exterior paint, Dark Slate Gray cloth seats, SRT-6 style cast-aluminum wheels, a black windshield surround and satin silver door handles and side louvers.

I think the SRT VIN list has identified about a dozen true 2006 SRT6's...... mostly outside the USA....

Wow information all over the place,
First off no there aren't any SRT-6's without supercharged motors
2nd for the 2k6 model year they introduced a special edition crossfire that only came in "flamer red" It had SRT like wheels, the inside of each spoke was painted the very cool color Graphite. Silver strakes, and a black windshield surround. All of them are Manuals I believe. Base model seats... I'm sure I'm missing a few other things but that the most of it.
I believe there are close to 150 SRT6 made in 2k6. Still very Rare if you've got one.

I am new to the forum and have recently purchase an SRT 6. The SRT stands for Street and Racing Technology. For the Crossfire to produce the 330 HP, it needs the charger. But, wait for other replies becuase like I said I am a new owner and new to the forum. Good Luck on your search for a good SRT 6.

other countries will take a build date car, let's say 2005, and make it whatever the year is when it is sold new...I call them held overs...here in the states, it is what it is....I know we documented about 12 known '06's, in otherwards, built in '06 year...fascinating as it is, build dates for most cars start about 4-6 months in the prior year...an '05 might have been built in Oct of '04, but still an '05 model...I would always go by the VIN...to really know what I have...regardless...
