CARFAX Vehicle History Report on 1C3AN79N75X059689

heres the car's fax for it, it has been for sale since the beginning of this year and hasnt sold and has been moved too like 3 diff dealers, i see it says it had the auto trans checked and some electrical wiring fixed back in 07 but other then that i cant tell if theres something wrong with it.

i test drove it the other day at the dealer and it didn't seem like anything was bad, tire pressure light was on but thats like it. i work for Mercedes-benz but i only just started working there so dont know much about the older SLK engines, could anyone tell me what i should look for that goes bad on these cars?

thanks for the help, and if nothing is wrong with it i should have it some time this week

Carfax is a tool; they are limited to what is reported to them, so please get the car checked for paint work and mechanical problems. First, like it was asked, what is the price? I sell cars and will give you what they are selling for wholesale.

Carfax has given you some great information about the three different dealers. I would like to know why this car has gone from dealer to dealer though. I have sold six Crossfires over the last 3 to 4 years and never has it taken me more than 60 or so days. But all my car were nice straight cars. Not saying that this one is not, but I do have the question; why have THREE dealers, who sell cars for living, not been able to sell this car? Especially, a car that was made in a limited run of only 2016 cars. One could have had it too high or maybe a bad market, etc., but three in a row? This is a BIG question. And, this question SHOULD be answered before you buy---because afterward is too late my friend.

Here is the auction report

06/29/10 MINNEAP Lease $15,500 12,921 Above BLACK 6G A Yes
05/25/10 FAAO Lease $14,400 15,850 Avg LGH BLUE 6G A Yes
06/11/10 NEVADA Lease $13,900 34,678 Avg GRAY 6G A Yes
06/24/10 ALBUQUE Lease $12,250 38,038 Avg SILVER 6G A Yes
06/02/10 DAYTONA Lease $11,800 81,927 Avg GREY 6G A Yes
06/17/10 GTR TMPA Regular $10,500 84,644 Below BLACK 6G A Yes

Auction $15,000 $13,100 $11,250

Est. Retail $18,900 $16,650 $14,400

Wow! Take this thing to a MB mechanic BEFORE you buy. Look at the auction prices. Why would he sell it to you for LESS than he can get at auction? Why? I will tell you why---the auction is FULL of professional buyers that check out cars for a living which makes it hard to sell it there.

CHECK THIS CAR OUT!!!!

DO NOT DEPEND ON HIM---DO YOUR YOUR OWN HOMEWORK---BRING YOUR OWN MECHANIC. It will be cheaper to pay $100 to not make a bad deal on this car.

no one drops that fast on a car sale unless there is something amiss...
see if he has the title in his possession first, then worry about the car...if he is having trouble, finacially, the bank may hold the title, and he could skip with the cash if he is ready to go under...do some homework, 'cause no one sells a good title srt6 for 10k....no one....salvage yes, ....good luck

3/36---it's out. You can still get a 5 year Max Care I do believe.

Not just ANY tech---one that knows this car with the supercharger.

BAD LUCK with THREE different dealers? Could be, but please check out this red flag with someone that KNOWS this car!!!

Doc is RIGHT---Listen please listen---a car with 84k sold at the auction wholesale for $10,500 plus fees---check my post. AGAIN, why is he selling it CHEAPER than wholesale by TWO GRAND---SOMETHING is FUNNY, and I do not mean HAHA---I mean OH NO!!!

If it checks out, then you it a home run, but you need to be real careful. This car will cost you a fortune if it is a mess. Good ones are out there. Many for sale on here, but not for $10,000 and that is my point. CHEAP can bite you in the A$$ sometimes.

THIS car is different---find one who does---even if you must pay an European shop.

well i dont know if he is really was selling for 10k, sounded like it =/ i was walkn out and he said would you buy it right now for 10k, when i was leaving tho the other sales man said he would prob give me 3k off if i put 2k down (originally what he said he would sell it for, so like 12-13k for it, is priced at 15k still on there webpage) but that dealership is always dead empty, its a honda, dont think there doing that well tho in the preowned section, only like 3 salesmen and always empty

If he said " would you buy it right now for 10k" , Then it sounds like it to me also. $12,500 to $13,000 is average wholesale. "Rough" wholesale is $11,250.

Well that's a good start---Just remember a bad one can cost you BIG bucks. These cars are pretty tough and very well made, so if you start with a GOOD one and keep it up---you will be fine. Start with a BAD one and buckle up buttercup!!!!
