New Crate engine for SRT6
Darn it, three months ago I came across a complete Crossfire on our local Bay Area Craigslist for only $900, it was missing just the engine and trans.

Without electronics there is nothing for the ECU to read that it would object to. The only possibility would be the throttle body. But I know that isnt a problem since I switch mine between the SSB and Aero with no issue. Just curious.....

I agree with MikeR, I would think it would be just a drop in since all the factory electronic components are the same from ( stock ) engine to engine you dont have to relearn a cps, a new fuel injector, a throttle body, a new iat sensor, or any thing else you would replace if it had failed and match it to your ecu. I have never heard of the ecu being vin matched to the motor other than being matched to the original design functions of the cars particular electronics, as in like a V8 ecu v/s a V6 ecu.
