Default SRT6 sales pitch

Read this one. Should be used as a commercial. Gary Chrysler : Crossfire: eBay Motors (item 250682422567 end time Aug-23-10 18:14:07 PDT)

Great description, if slightly embellished. Hope he gets what he is asking for.

He says that it's 1" lower than a standard Crossfire. That isn't true, is it? I know we have stiffer springs, but I thought we were at the same ride height?

$25,000 in factory AMG upgrades sounds a bit embellished too. I guess you could probably get this number if you piece out everything by itself as a replacement if you ordered them one by one from a dealer, though, so I guess it's just a different way of looking at it.

Nice car though, especially at 3200 miles. I've got 22,800 miles, so I'm jealous

I would love to see his description of the refrigerator he sells to the Eskimos! Seriously though, I'm going to copy this for future reference; he is good! LOL

After I read it, I had to go into the garage and give my SRT6 a hug.

Too good not to save here. So here it is!
CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE SRT 6
This car has exceptionally low miles, just 3200, and is a low volume, undiscovered future collectible supercar and the best one available in the country. Most people are unaware of the SRT6 because Chrysler didn’t effectively publicize it. Manufactured in Germany on Mercedes and AMG assembly lines. Upgrades engineered by AMG ( Mercedes’ high performance division) in cooperation with Chrysler’s SRT (Street and Racing Technology division). This car represents the single greatest achievement of the multi-billion dollar collaboration between Mercedes and Chrysler, and is not a standard Crossfire. It is an upscale, limited production almost $50,000 high performance coupe built on Mercedes SLK AMG performance components - frame, suspension, brakes and engine, with a uniquely styled custom body and includes: 349 H.P. (actual) highly efficient supercharged Mercedes 3.2 liter all-aluminum single overhead cam V6 engine with variable 3 valve technology and 2 sparkplugs and 1 coil per cylinder. (Aftermarket kits available with pulley and modified ECU to increase H.P. up to 450). Heavy duty 5 speed Autostick with direct shift software - the same transmission as in $500K Mercedes/McClaren SLR with 650 H.P.
Powerful AMG Brembo 14” brakes stop within 2 feet of new Porsche Carrera from 70 MPH. Ultra light weight, expensive ($500 & $700 each) 15 spoke 18” forged wheels front, and 19” rear, never touched a curb and all without one mark, with wide state-of-the-art Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires - rated best max performance tire by Car and Driver (most SRT 6’s came with Continental tires). Wind tunnel engineered fixed wing rear spoiler and front chin spoiler. Custom sport springs, HD shocks, independent rear suspension with performance bushings, 1” lower than a standard Crossfire. Advanced Mercedes ESC (electronic stability control) system specially tuned for high performance adds expanded capability with safety. Black pearl paint with black leather interior. All luxury features including power seats, windows, air conditioning, Recaro leather seats ($2500 each), quality Infinity stereo with disc player, etc. Very light weight - under 3100 lbs. Amazing performance, 0-60 in 4.8 seconds, yet still up to 26 MPG. Rock solid, no flex “high hertz” chassis allows the super brakes and suspension to optimize handling - in all, approx. $25,000 in AMG factory upgrades over a standard Crossfire.
Most of these cars have been driven hard. This one, however, was bought new three and a half years ago from Chrysler Florida warehouse with 14 miles on it. Owned by a nonsmoking adult car enthusiast and has been very carefully run-in and maintained. No accidents, dents or dings. Never driven in rain or snow. This is a rare car that will appreciate. Chrysler built only 2014 SRT coupes for the world market and only in model year 2005 (of approx. 100,000 Crossfires built from 2004-2008). This car has not spent any time on a dealer’s lot, therefore it hasn’t been abused by aggressive full throttle, high RPM demo rides on a stone cold new engine causing problems later, shortening drivetrain life and violating every manufacturer‘s break-in directives! Unknown to potential buyers, many SRT 6’s on the market have suffered this fate, especially those with low mileage.
This is a unique, “excellent” condition example of a virtually new car with very low miles for someone who knows and values the difference! If you are going to buy an SRT 6, buy the best, not one mechanically compromised before the first buyer ever took possession. These cars are complex and expensive should any of the major drivetrain components fail. Therefore, a long term comprehensive warranty is imperative. Included is a$2000 extended warranty on the entire drivetrain to 80K miles or until 2015, fully transferable.

A word about Kelley Blue Book values: the average mileage for a 2005 is 72,000 miles. The KBB retail value (not private party because this car is almost new and doesn’t require the dealer investment in reconditioning that represents the difference in pricing) for an SRT 6 in excellent condition with a premium sound system and the 19” plus wheels this car has is $22,525, and that is without the $2000 warranty, or $24,525. Only 5% of 2005 cars are in excellent condition, fewer still have only 3200 miles. Will assist in arranging financing if required. $23,475

I'll have to 'adjust' that and use it for the SSB..... and you can have the SSB for only $20,000...

edit: Stock brakes are also 330mm / 13", not 14".... not sure if they are Brembo or not...they dont say Brembo on them.

From what I have heard the SRT6 uses the AMG brakes, and AMG uses Brembo. AMG doesn't label brembo, and we don't label AMG. So it gets lost in translation.

Someone will have to say if that is correct or not, but I believe I read that somewhere on here a while back.

I am only going by the fact that the Brembo brakes I have seen have 'Brembo' cast into the assembly......
